Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brilliant menu! Beautiful food. We went twice in a row! Lovely brunch… garlic mushrooms were great as well as the low tides breakfast and milkshakes. Lovely coffee too Very friendly staff and stylish interiors. Perfect brunch spot and there’s no time cut off on the...menu which so many spots have - really flexible. Everything cooked fresh, just lovely. Go!More

Small cosy cafe/ restaurant with fantastic food and excellent service from everyone. I have been in this industry for over 40 years , and “had to” try restaurants all over the country for research?!😄 ( so I can be a bit critical )! But I...eat here often and highly recommended you do too .More

Not since we were in Australia have we had such a lovely breakfast. Been twice now and the standard is top notch - coffee is also lovely. Highly recommend, book if you can as there is limited seating.

Delicious brunch in an ascetically pleasing cafe. Food was hot served on hot plates accompanied by a hot flat white ! Perfect !

Made a booking as I know it gets busy, quick response back even though they were closed that day. Super friendly front of house, clean tidy, fab selections of food and specials and the coffee was great too. Our breakies were very good value. Love...the fact that the plate was very hot to complement the equally hot food. Which is rare nowadays in other places. Window seat with the sun shining. Will be back again as we are local. Thank you - amazing.More

Another lovely breakfast yesterday. Omg the honeymoon eggs.. it’s a must to try on the specials board this week was so yummy & the flavours worked so good together. Crispy Maple bacon, poached eggs, and asparagus drizzled with hollandaise sauce all on a croissant. Fab-u-lous!!!...Staff are always so warm & welcoming. Doggy friendly too. See you soon Nadine xxMore

Visited Tides as for once we both had a day off and were out and about in the village. A lovely inviting atmosphere and we were greeted by very friendly staff and the owner. Shown to a table and wow the menu was just up...our street. All of the dishes coming out looked amazing and it was quite clear they had a good returning clientele as customers were ordering their favourites again. I went for the pancakes. Lovely and fluffy, very nice quality bacon and just heaven. Husband went for a new addition, Honeymoon Eggs, again good quality ingredients used and it just seemed elevated from the usuals on offer in other establishments. Tides seem to have got the mix right. If you are looking for dishes made with good quality ingredients Tides have is your place.More

We were staying nearby and were looking for somewhere for breakfast and stumbled across Tides, so glad we did! Lovely atmosphere inside, with a really friendly greeting from all the staff as we walked in. Between us we had the Tides Breakfast and the Avocado...on Sourdough Toast, both of which were fantastic. Portion sizes were very generous and the service was speedy too. They were even really accommodating when I asked for more toast to replace what I already had, as I totally forgot to ask for it with no butter on it. They were lovely about it and it was hugely appreciated as it was my mistake entirely. The food itself was delicious, the avocado toast had a really nice balance between cool and spicy, which worked really well and it was both tasty and filling. The Tides breakfast was a really lovely dish as well, with a great ratio of all its components. Sadly we don't live in the area otherwise we'd be in all the time!More

Absolutely fantastic cafe. Visited today as a family + dog. Service was friendly and quick (not too quick!). We all had brunch. I had Tides Miners (I think it was called) - poached eggs, hollandaise, bacon, black pudding. It went into my no 1 best...breakfast spot. My husband and daughter loved theirs too. Also had best smoothie ever. The lady owner was so friendly, even offered to show me how to make hollandaise 😂.More
