About
There's a warm welcome waiting for you at The Railway Inn, Framlingham. Redecorated by the new owners, Barry and Liz Jones, this is a truly traditional English Pub with a large front bar which boasts bar stools, bar seating area and dining tables, not to mention the best seats in the house, two Edwardian wingbacks in front of the real open fire. The railway also has it's very own snug bar, for quiet dining and private conversation, you'll love the warm and cosy atmosphere. Add to these bars the sports bar, with Pool, Darts and SKY Sports on the big screen, the Railway has it all! Barry, owner and Chef, provides truly gorgeous food at exceptional prices to make your tum and pocket happy. Lovely

Overall this pub is nice but I wouldn’t say anything overly special. Lady (who believe is probably landlady) was really friendly and accommodating, the food was lovely and I can’t fault it however the menu was rather basic in comparison to others around the area....More

If you intend eating here you usually need to book as it is very popular. It is sort of a near gastro-pub. But not too poncey. And well worth a visit if you are from outside the area. Locals will know it!

Enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal for Fathers Day. Lovely big prawns in the prawn cocktail and the roast beef was delicious. Proper cooking, home made roasties and yorkies. Very friendly and polite staff, thoroughly enjoyable meal. Highly recommed.
