We walked to this pub from our holiday lodge on Saxtead Green. The first time we just went for a drink and found it a bit cold and unwelcoming. Nothing interesting to look at, no books, pictures, no comfy chairs etc. Couldn't really put my...More

We have been to the Old Mill House three times recently. Once with two local friends, once with four relatives from Australia and this week again with friends from Australia and Berkshire. Each time we have been made welcome, the menu explained if necessary, food...More

Second visit as good as the first. There were 10 or 12 of us waiting outside for it to open. Says a lot! Fish perfectly cooked and such friendly and helpful staff

I've been her a few times with my partner for a carvery. The pork just melts in your mouth! Great full menu, huge amount of seating, lovely garden area and small play area for kids.

Stumbled across this pub by accident, and fancied a quick meal. Opted for the carvery, which was lovely. The meat fell apart, the vegetables were cooked to order and brought to your table so nothing was kept hot and mushy as some carveries. The portion...More
