The River Cottage Experience involves a tour around the gardens, a bit of cooking and some eating. The foot and ingredients were very good and Andy our tutor was also. The only real downside was the pace of the event which was a little on...More

Went to River Cottage for a family wedding. Inside the cottage they can take 20 covers and that was ideal for us. It's just like you see it on the telly, and they don't mind if you wander round the place. The chef explained all...More

What a fantastic experience. The food is unusual and interesting. From being collected and taken down hill by a tractor greeted with canapés and a Gin something weird and wonderful. We had course after course of food produced and grown mainly from the farm. We...More

This 2-day food festival had something for everyone, its very family friendly and was well worth the money at £12.50 each with all its fresh natural local grown produce, stalls and activities. The speakers and demonstrations were brilliant, but our highlight of the weekend was...More

Thank you for writing a lovely review on your experience with us. I'm really sorry that we didn't have any decaf coffee that evening, we usually have this as an option, it was just unfortunate that we couldn't offer it that night.

I always use a light vegetable oil generally and a good quality olive oil occasionally. Tried rapeseed oil but not over keen on the flavour.

Hi there - it's smart / casual but with sturdy shoes, we are a farm with uneven ground. Also, layers are good in case it rains or turns cooler in the evening. Jeans are acceptable. In fact, pretty much anything goes!
