Had a family lunch here and had a good meal. The flamküche (8€) was tasty and we enjoyed the wild boar goulash too. (15€). The servings were fine but not huge. The service was friendly and fairly efficient.and I was very impressed with the clean modern toilets. All in all fine, but there are probably better options in the village.

My wife and I picked this place after reading reviews from last year. Apparently, this place is either under new management or has been remodeled including a new menu. (An English version is in the works). Many of the things mentioned in the reviews were not available. That made us let the waitress make recommendations. She did very well. We started... More

After an afternoon of sightseeing in Gengenbach, we searched for a place to sit, have a few drinks, and maybe, a bite to eat. Found Winzerstuble just off the main square and after ordering drinks, had a look at the menu - and immediately felt hungry. There were four in our party so we ordered four different items and did... We enjoyed a fantastic night in the Winzerstuble having a delicious meal accompanied by a few beers followed by both red and white local wines. This restaurant had a fabulous atmosphere and reminded us of the type of restaurants normally found in ski resorts. The food was excellent as was the wine and it was not particularly expensive. We would... More

My husband and I chose to sit indoors on a lovely evening because of the numerous smokers scattered on the terrace. That was too bad but the smoke hung in the air too much to take in the fresh air. Nevertheless, our meal and the service in the restaurant made up for it: Delightful servers and delicious entrees! And of... More

In the midst of the little walled village are many restaurants. We chose this one because we saw the delicious looking large pieces of Black Forest Cake other customers were eating. We did not eat lunch as this was a mid afternoon indulgence. We sat on the terrace and were joined by many others for an afternoon pick me up,... More

We ate outside on the terrace and found the staff to be very friendly. They even brought out some colouring pencils and paper for our toddler daughter. The menu was extensive and offered authentic Black Forest food which was delicious and were large portions. The chanterelle pancake and the Spatzle were particularly tasty.

If you find the Tourist Info office you will walk past the Winzerstuble. We sat out twice and had great meals both times- they accommodated fussy 13 yr old and the included salad starter was amazing! Recommend the Maultaschen (big ravioli) with chanterelles, yum. 3 mains and 3 drinks were €45. Pretty decent I thought.

As the title of the restaurants says, very recommended for local wine (you can order a tasting - 5 dif. local wines in the glas for € 6.00) - try the fry pan with spätzle and porc-filet - or - the different versions of Flammkuchen which belongs to this area of Germany and also France. Good value for money, nice... More
