Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent staff who went out of there way to help, they were cl9sing but made sure we had hit drinks and food for two adults and a young child. Friendly accommodating and helpful!

Thank you very much for leaving us such a kind review. We're so glad you felt accommodated and looked after. We hope to see you again soon!

Three drinks presented on a dirty tray and one in a dirty glass mug. The girl serving said the tray was not dirty, in spite of the crumbs present, and that she'd wiped the glass mug already. The male staff member didn't seem to understand...that my request for one side order of hot milk and one for cold milk required them to be in separate containers, not a single jug of luke warm milk!More

Lovely seating area outside on a warm sunny day. Unfortunately the staff didn’t seem as though they wanted to be there. I was sat outside and the member of staff who brought my tea cake out, didn’t bring it with a knife nor did he...mention where the cutlery might be or offer to get it. There was no interaction at all.More

Bread bun for the sausage sandwich was big but very poor quality. The ham in the toastie was a slab of tinned stuff: too thick to cut or bite; it had to be left. There was a lovely cafe in the Moors Centre a few...years ago, why did the Park Authority change it ?More

Good range of menu options, reasonably priced. Staff helpful and friendly. Toasted sandwiches were good, drinks ok also. Next to the Danby Lodge centre - which is great for children- but run separately.

Couldn't really call this a cafe anymore. no sandwiches, hardly any cakes on display and we were told we could only pay in cash! Even though when we have visited before they have offered a card payment system. What's going on we thought this was...run by the North Yorkshire Moors.More

Really poor cafe, we popped over for a quick drink to treat ourselves, nothing in stock apart from a very flat lemonade that had been stood out all day - and over £10 for 2 soft drinks! Very rude staff that couldn't care less. So...many better cafes you could go to with lovely local produce. This is an embarrassing representation of the local area - such a shame!!More

After many visits to this delightful cafe I thought it was time I left a review. Really enjoy my weekly visits for a coffee and break in the middle of my dog walk. Being served today by Tiff and Luke was a pleasure as usual,...and it is always nice to have a chat with young and motivated staff, my dog is also very happy when they give him his treat.More

Called in for lunch with my wife and children. Posters stating they are short staffed and to be kind. But the youngsters behind the counter were amazing. Really held it together and no wait for drinks. Slight wait for food , but only to be...expected with the amount of people in the cafe. Burgers were amazing , ice cream delicious and drinks were lovely. Next time I’m home I will definitely be back. Would love to add photos, but didn’t get chance before the kids dug in haha.More

We had been before (pre covid)and it had been ok. Today was different. 3 cans of Coke Zero where the only soft drinks other than water(we did have our own). Nothing suitable for children. We asked for chips to go with the sandwiches and we’re...told there would be an hour’s wait as there was a lot of food to go out. The cafe was half empty and apart from some hot dogs going out to a table when we arrived we didn’t see anyone getting hot food while we sat eating our rather lack lustre sandwiches. My older grandson did enjoy the hot chocolate.More

Service without smiles! Too expensive generally. Children’s meal of hot dog poor size. 2 sausages needed would suggest. Ice cream and lollipop for 2 children £6.85!!!! This included 2 scoops of vanilla @ £4.85 and fab lollipop at £2.10
