Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a delightful take away box which included sandwich sausage rolls small amount of salad various cakes and cupcakes as well as scones. Five out of five for the food which was delicious. We will call in again to have sit down refreshments in...the near future. Thank youMore

What a fabulous place, the tearoom came highly recommended by our hosts at The Little Silver House… his advice not to eat breakfast before the afternoon tea was spot on! Minestrone soup to start, Greek salad, sandwiches, sausage rolls and piles of cakes. This was...our only meal of the day 😃 My advice is to call several days before to book ahead- we only just managed to get in on our last day in DevonMore

Highly recommend. Lovely and friendly. We had the whole tea room to ourselves during a quieter period. The cream teas were exactly what we came for. Very tranquil.

We wanted a classic cream tea on our visit to Devon and hoped for something authentic....this really was a gorgeous, home cooked, cream tea. The scones were as light as a feather and so tasty, the tea, cream and jam also top notch! The service...was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome along with our dogs. I would definitely recommend this for any cream tea seekers.....More

Beautiful view of country-side from outdoor sitting area with lots of entertainment for all ages, especially young children. The food was excellent and in good proportion with a large variety: including, sea food, salads and platters to share. The facilities were great with lots of...thought and care put into the place. The staff and area was very accommodating, asking if anything was needed or wanted, blankets were also provided on the wet occasion we went on when enjoying the outside area. Would definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.More

Visited twice during our recent stay and had the cream tea both times. First rate and in a lovely setting both inside the farmhouse and out in the garden. A peaceful place to while away some time with tea and cake!

Lovely little place, very friendly and helpful. Absolutely delicious food, large portions and very good value. Ploughman’s had massive cheeseboard and the nicest salad ever. Perfect pasties and all sorts of other stuff. The best bit was scones fresh from the oven. We also enjoyed...playing board games while having a breather between foods! Amazing thank you.More

We arrived without a booking for a cream tea one Saturday afternoon. We were greeted at the door by staff who welcomed us in and settled us at a table near the window. We were told that they could do a cream tea but we...would have to wait for it to be cooked as they had run out of scones. My goodness, that was worth the very short wait! This was truly the best cream tea I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in Devon for over 30 years. Excited to visit again to explore the menu!More

Went here for afternoon tea which was very nice but maybe lacking sweet treats, had more savoury than sweet. Food was very good but waitress service and the lack of attention was not good. Would not re visit. Outside area rather dirty and untidy, I...know this is a working farm but could be kept tidier in areas that customers are using.More

Lunch with my partner and a friend. The reputation it has is well deserved. Probably the best ploughman’s lunch I’ve eaten. Can be a bit tricky to find – best not just rely on the postcode in sat nav.
