This was fine dining! We chose the four course set menu which was great value. The courses all had creative flair in flavour combinations and presentation. Sometimes the dish was even unusually surprising. The wait staff were attentive and the restaurant had an atmosphere of refinement. With four courses plus wine we paid 38 euros each. The hotel/ restaurant is... More

I had the 28 Euro menu here for lunch with friends and I was not disappointed. The place just oozed class and the food prep was first class. It is a la carte and you get servings of hot hot mini roll type baguettes, so it is refreshing. Also tap water and a selection of wines etc were had. My... More

We ate from their 28euro menu. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. The emphasis is on flavour rather than portion size so if you want to get bloated this is not the place for you. However they do keep replacing the rolls every time you eat one. We had guinea fowl with girolles as a main course. Good selection... More

We were a group of 8, dining on Saturday night at 8pm so the restaurant was busy and the service was understandably a bit stretched. It's a hotel and has that feel. We dined inside but you have the option of a terrace. Overall the food was good but nothing inspiring: for the no 1 in Clamecy we were hoping... More

We dined here just on the off chance. We do not normally choose hotels for dining. What a surprise. Fine dining at its best first class service. Elegant dining room. Could not fault anything.. All that for 30 euros each. Unbelievable

This purports to be a classically french place. Unfortunately I suspect they are using pre prepared dishes (as so many in France are, unfortunately). The dessert was still frozen inside, as was one of the appetizers. For the price I would expect freshly prepared. There are simpler restaurants elsewhere in Clamecy that are a better choice.

We ate dinner here and were impressed by the attentive staff. It's a while since I have experienced crumbs being brushed off the tablecloth before the cheese course at a restaurant which I consider to be mid-price range. Ambience was good and the food was excellent. Similar menu to one where we had eaten in Auxerre a few nights previously,... More

We stopped here for lunch and were very pleased with the quality of the service and the food -- we had the set menu (I had the duck with roasted figs for the plat) -- we were pleasantly surprised to find it accompanied by some very tasty amuses-bouches. Service was great, and the restaurant has a nice wine menu as... More

The food was delicious, we had the beef tournedos. However, the staff was condescending, surly and officious i.e. Just plain rude
