Live very locally but haven't been in for years. Popped in early evening NYE for quick drinks with the family. Greeted by friendly landlady who has recently acquired the pub. Good hosts, nice drinks and nice ambience. Asked generally about their plans for the place and she was very willing to chat and has plans for a separate sports bar... More

Had lunch here a few times over the last few years with family. It's had a fair few changes of hands though but looks to be a bit more stable now. Food has always been good though. Typical pub food through to the nice carvery's that they offered. Good sized place in a good location so hopefully the current landlords... More

We dropped into the Plough late Sunday afternoon after lunch service was finished. Straight away we (including dog) were made to feel very welcome. At the time only the roast was still being served but tasted great and we enjoyed a chilled afternoon. Service was friendly and welcoming. Thanks

I found this pub very bad. Walked in, horrible atmosphere, almost like it's just for locals. Second of all the food, me and my partner opted for the Cod, when it arrived, looked lovely, little did my partner know it was full of bones, did not fillet properly. Dark, gloomy. I will say the staff are very polite and helpful.

Well we passed many times and thought we give them a try. Advertising choice 5 meats and 5 veg. Pricing average. We entered and was greeted at the bar, was unsure if walk in for carvery or weather it was waiter service, we ordered a drink from bar and sat in the far part of the front of the house... More
