We came on Saturday to see the band Gumboots, great as usual! Amazed by the large extension out the back and the knocked through bar rooms made it so much more airy and spacious . Will be back to try the new menu. Well done!

Very poor service, rude and unwelcoming, no please and thank yous, clearly the pub has very little if any management controls. You also need to watch the measures as they can at times be less than a full pint !! The beer itself is also poorly kept and not up to standard, This again is I suspect a reflection of... More

Changed hands recently new owners created a good "pub" atmosphere without being boring. Keep an excellent cellar, staff friendly and helpful and when doing a special event go all out for their customers enjoyment. Only criticism language can sometimes get a little ripe with some customers.

Go to this pub a lot but it's so much better now it has been altered. Much more space to stand and feels so much more airy and bigger. Still has good entertainment as well.

Popped in for one before a meal, realised there was live music on, so popped back after, to listen to Matt play guitar and sing. Cosy welcoming and friendly, even got tea. What nice people, what a lovely pub. Definitely going back.

Something not quite right here. I've never been sure what. Very dingy. Atmosphere a bit depressing. Ale expensive and often has a nasty vinegary taste. Garden beautifully kept, lovely space to sit, hanging baskets galore, colourful flowers, etc. But the general atmosphere is always dragged down by the landlord, and the clientele. A lot of the regulars and the landlord... More

Possibly the worst pub I have been too. Unsightly bar staff, the beer was off and the food was awful!

At first sight we thought it was a good place for lunch and maybe to linger but the inside, the harden and the food and drink were all a bit of a letdown. I have only been here once, do not know the area and had no preconceptions so I can't say whether it was an off day for the... More
