We went to Suma's today for their lovely breakfasts a favourite activity on a Sunday morning. They keep you going all day. The restaurant was full and busy and waited a while for breakfast to arrive but good chatting time. The food was excellent and the choice broad. To be extra critical We appreciate hotter plates as food rather cool... More

First the good points. Sumas offers superb quality food with an excellent array of seafood in particular. With the stunning views (in the summer) of Gorey castle and bay, the food on the plate seems even more fresh than usual. Local shellfish are an absolute must. Sadly, the atmosphere to the restaurant is always a little hit and miss. As... More

Great location overlooking Gorey harbour. Called in for friday lunch - tempted by the beef, but chose the fish, excellent choice, cooked to perfection and perfectly presented. High quality lunch for two, with wine, at £60 is very good value by Jersey standards.

Having eaten at Sumas a few times last year this was the first time i had since they recruited a new Head Chef. I would have to say that the food is still as good, if not better. The deserts were a particular highlight. Can't wait to go again.

Haven't been for a while as we were not too impressed with a couple of meals. Gave it a try last night and glad we did. This had been our favourite restaurant and a newish chef has upped the standard again. Paul the owner remains an excellent host. Starters of poached oysters, twice cooked cheese soufflé, and salmon and beetroot... More

This was our first visit as a family to this recommended restaurant. Wide choice of starters including local oysters as part of the Sunday set menu of roast offerings - we selected beef and turkey options - and generous in portion size. We may not have fully appreciated the concept of a Jersey lazy Sunday afternoon lunch routine, so found... More

The poached oysters were possibly the best dish that I have had this year! This is a lovely restaurant with a very good atmosphere at lunch time. The menu has some good variety and the cooking is delightful.

Go to Suma's now before everyone realises what a talent they have in new chef Dany and the prices rise. Just returned from an exquisite lunch. The roasted tomato soup with crumbled feta cheese and coriander leaves had a wonderful texture and blend of fresh flavours. My husband's beetroot smoked salmon was equally delicious, I am told, although his praise... More

Overall a nice place.. starter very nice.. but main course steak was cold, said because it was medium that's how it came out. How ever I suspect it had been waiting around. (I manage to cook a steak medium and it be hot)!!! Overall nice place!!!

At their door, it says they serve lunches until 3:30pm on Sundays, so we planned our trip accordingly. To our disappointment, we were turned down at 3pm, so it would be great if they corrected the opening times.
