We had a wonderful time! My husband is veggie and I’m pescatarian the food was very tasty and we had a nice gap in-between courses, so we felt we could relax. Danny was fantastic, so friendly knowledge with a great sense of humour.

This restaurant wins hands down as the best we visited in Jersey on our week’s holiday. Sassy service I have to say, but at the same time elegant. You could literally be anywhere in the world looking out over the water. The food quality was...simply superb, although a couple of things were sold out on the menu, there was still plenty to choose from. The venue strikes you as classy as you walk in and the smartly dressed chefs did not disappoint. One I’ll definitely return to. 10/10More

Sumas is a true culinary delight. With a table on the terrace, we were treated to breathtaking views of the sea and Mount Orgiel Castle. The experience was elevated by an incredible selection of oysters, each one a taste of the ocean's finest with their...own twists. The recommended white wine perfectly complemented our meal, and the catch of the day, turbot, was a succulent masterpiece. To finish, the locally sourced rhubarb panna cotta left us in awe. While our server seemed new, the potential shined through and the general manager was amazing. Sumas, your excellence is undeniable - we will be back. And not to forget, the old fashioned I had to finish was the perfect ending touch to an unforgettable evening. Thank you.More

Haven’t been Sumas for years, but glad we revisited. Really nice setting looking over the harbour and really great food. Had some decent champagne on the menu too, which was annoying as I was driving, so maybe next time we come we will get a...taxi. Really great food, friendly staff and everything was just perfect Thank youMore

We visited at lunchtime, the restaurant was not busy (unlike the evenings) and there is a great value set lunch on offer. We had a ‘front line’ table on the terrace overlooking the harbour on a sunny day. The food was wonderful - the only...problem with the oysters done thee ways as a starter was I only went for 6! I should have gone for 9 at least. The seared tuna looked as amazing as it tasted. The fish stew was rich and full of chunks of fish - perfect. The turbot was also bang on the money. The staff are friendly and helpful, I have some mobility issues and after a phone call ahead they ensured a ramp was in place for my scooter which they looked after in the bar for me. A lovely restaurant serving top quality seafood. It is worth spending a lazy lunchtime here!More

The view from Sumas across Gorey harbour is wonderful. I was blessed to have a seat right in the window. Started with the terrine. Possibly the best I’ve experienced. The bream and accompanying vegetables were excellent. However, the polenta was heavy, grainy and lacking in...flavour. I opted not to have desert but rather go find some Jersey ice cream further round the bay.More

We went there for a dinner in a fine restaurant and so it was. The restaurant was packed we luckily had a reservation. We had a nice table outside on the balcony overlooking the harbour. We were welcomed and seated by very friendly people from...all over the world. We even got help with the menu and some explanation on the dishes. We choose for tuna and oysters, for the mains we choose lamb and fish stew, with royal jerseys. All in all very good.More

We came here to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely meal. The restaurant honoured my request for a table on the balcony and we had a stunning view of the castle and the harbour. Service was friendly and polite without being over-bearing. Our meal...(especially the lamb and the seafood-stew) were outstanding and I loved the little candle in my panna cotta! Yes, it was expensive but given that it was a special occasion, we felt that it was well worth spoiling ourselves at Sumas.More
