I was looking for somewhere to eat lunch on Easter Saturday halfway between Bromley & Sunbury. I found this pub/restaurant online & booked it after reading the great reviews. It certainly did not disappoint. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely, smiling young lady...& joined our friend who had arrived earlier. The waitress was very friendly & told us about all the specials on offer. We all had Daube of beef with red wine gravy & mash which was delicious. We loved the nice touch of serving our vegetables in individual side dishes each containing carrots, cougettes & french beans. Our puddings were lovely too & of a generous size. You could tell it was quality home-cooked food & it was very reasonably priced. It was left to our discretion as to what tip to leave.........a nice change from the usual 12.5 % service charge which is often automatically added to bills these days. I would not hesitate to eat here again when in the area. Friendly, smiling staff, fab food & 2 little easter eggs each came with the bill. Another thoughtful touch.More

Visited Easter Sunday 2022 for lunch with family of five Always loved Joshua Tree visited many times previous but not since 2020 so happy to revisit hoping food quality was as good as previous but never visited for lunch always for evening dinner. Unfortunately it...was disappointing this time. Service was good but the Sunday roasts were poor and my duck which I had ordered was so small and too tough to enjoy for what was presented on the plate. Noticed that excellent reviews were mainly 2020 and previous so would be good to see later reviews.More

We have been dining out in various places and countries in the past month and we were so happy that upon our return to the U.K. and visiting mum in Surrey for Mother’s Day/Mothering Sunday, we had an absolutely delicious lunch at The Joshua Tree....Very attentive and friendly staff (Megan is lovely) and the combination of service, delicious food and very good value makes for the five stars. So many more expensive and fancier/trendier places can take a cue from the Joshua Tree. Thank you, mum is happy and so are we! We will return.More

Our third visit to this wonderful pub/restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, they were attentive but discreet. The food was outstanding, well cooked and presented, with a good variety of dishes to choose from. The atmosphere...was lovely, great Christmas decorations and the refurbishment of the pub is great. We had our own birthday cake which wasn’t a problem, and they provided plates, cakes and a knife. Will definitely be going again soon.More

We had 2 Sunday roasts during February at this fine pub/restaurant. We found that the main roast was all we could eat. I enjoyed a couple of local ales on each occasion. We will be returning soon for another excellent meal.

Interiors have been attractively updated since our last visit and it seemed much brighter. There were two large family tables already being served when we arrived and we wondered if it would affect the service. We needn’t have worried - we were so well taken...care of by the friendly staff.. We both ordered roast pork and it was beautifully cooked and so tender. The vegetables were perfect and extra gravy provided. I went for the smaller portion which was just right for my appetite and left room for delicious sticky toffee pudding. If you are looking for a really good home cooked roast in very pleasant surroundings, we strongly recommend the Joshua Tree.More

My son and I enjoyed a delicious meal here. A good choice and everything on the menu available. Both mains were expertly cooked and the desserts were divine. My son works in hospitality and said it was the best meal he had eaten for a...while. He was keen to offer the chef a job! The service was just right. 2 lovely waitresses who, despite a large group of people arriving for their meal, looked after us very well. We weren't left for too long between courses, neither did we feel rushed. We will be coming back again in the very near future.More

We were so looking forward to a meal here after ‘lockdown’ and we weren’t disappointed. The food is always amazing and such a varied menu with the chef cooking everything from scratch. One of our party hadn’t mentioned dietary requirements but the staff handled the...request without batting an eyelid. The staff are friendly & accommodating and made our visit seamless. Wonderful!More
