Brochette and chicken tagine were OK but not great. Fries were good. We liked the place next door better.

Agree with the other reviews. No menu, 3 course lunch. Good salad starter, main course and fruit for dessert. They made the cous cous veggie and my sons chicken cous cous was tasty. The tangerine juice is fresh, generous in size and great taste. Good service, decent English speaker too. I'd certainly not have an issue with eating there again.

The food here was good. According to our guide, the best brochettes in Morocco. They were good, as was the salad, bread and fries, and fresh fruit, that came with it for 80dh. The service was fast and friendly, and with the location on the square, the views of passersby were interesting. My only concern? Cleanliness. However, the dishes and... More

Basic food. Basic price. Basic service. Certainly aimed at the tourist crowd. Centrally located in the Place Assarag it could/should be much better. The fries were good . . .

I go here all the time for lunch; right in the middle of the main square in town; crazily cheap; gorgeous owner and staff, always welcoming and charming, and joking. Food not at all special but perfectly good - 3 courses for EUR 4.

We were brought here by a local who was clearly looking for commission. We never got to see a menu with any prices and straight off the owner was cracking gags about us buying food for four. We were a party of three, so we took this to mean we were going to be paying for our 'friend'. In other... More

We have never stayed here as we live in Taroudant but must have eaten here a couple of score times. The meal is not the cheapest you can get in town but at 55Dh is hardly expensive and the ambiance sitting in Place Assareg watching the people, storyteller, snakecharmer , musicians etc etc cannot be beaten. It is recognised as... More

Went here on the strength of a single positive Tripadvisor review - always a gamble! Ate beef brochettes and a chicken tagine. The food was just about edible - the brochettes were as much gristle as beef and the chicken (breast) was pretty tough going - that must have been one ancient bird. We ate on the terrace looking out... More

The food is basic but really tasty and Mustaf is a great guy with a huge sense of humour. Tables are basic but the the outlook is really good overlooking the square and ideal for people watching whatever the time. If you want a good meal for a lttle cost this is the best place to go.

Description
This is the restaurant we use mowt in Taroudant where we live in the winter. It is on the main square aimed at tourists though not exclusively and offers 3 course meal of moroccan salad, bchettes and chips/tajine/couscous, with bread and mineral water and fresh fruit for 55MAD It is on the main square so there is much to look at whilst eating and excellent service from Moussa
