Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I had dinner here with another couple. When we walked in, the chef was preparing the freshly caught fish. He told us about the catch and the different preparations before we even sat down. Catches our particular evening were mahi mahi and...wahoo. The preparations ranged from simple garlic and butter to a fairly complex curry. All of our dishes were delicious, and we also enjoyed the side dishes. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for those visiting this part of Tobago.More

Really lovely, welcoming and hospitable staff, cosy and comfortable setting but the food didn't match. The callaloo was really nice with a splash of pepper sauce. The veggie burger was somewhat tasteless, I really only went there for the veggie burger... thankfully there were enough...condiments available to make it ok, I wont even bother to mention the salad and my sprite was flat.More

Good food good service and lovely place to have dinner. Highly recommend a visit if you’re on the island. Fish is amazing and best rum punch I’ve had in the island so far.

A lovely small restaurant with exceptional food. Highly recommended the Jerk Fish and Plantain starter. So good we went twice, even though we were on an all inclusive basis in our hotel!

The Fish Pot is the best restaurant on Tobago - for sur! We tried not all but a lot. The Fish Pot is all fresh food, a small clear menu with only fresh products. You have fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options. And the ladies...working there are really great, flexibel, kind and servive minded - even when the owner is not there. And the only restaurant where price and quality are in balance.More

A very special family run restaurant. Excellent food, great service and always a delight to go to. The best place in Tobago for an Irish coffee.

Were on a long term vacation on Tobago and went to The Fish Pot 3 times in all and could not fault it. Great service and exceptional food ! Tips and Hints: - Suggest you always book as the restaurant is quite small and they...do get booked up by locals very quickly. - Fish is Fantastic! but if you want a change then the Steak - which comes with a choice of sauces - just melts in the mouth and is some of the best i have eaten anywhere! Wonderful restaurant with lovely staff....will definatly return next time we are in Tobago!More

What a relief, to be able to return to Tobago and The Fish Pot! The charming staff and owners make you feel at home instantly, and with one of their excellent rum punches to lubricate your planning, you can make a selection from their menu...of delicious dishes (lots of fish as yopu would expect at a restaurant with such a name, though a friend had an excellent steak one evening). They have some excellent wines, though I find it hard to stray from the rum punch as it is so easy to drink (better let someone else drive after, though!) I love this restaurant, and am already missing it so much I am booking a return visit to Tobago.More

Loved the vibe of the Fish Pot. Very friendly and informal - they don't even have menus, just a large whiteboard with the night's selection written on it. Not surprisingly, with that sort of relaxed and laid-back approach, this is a very popular restaurant and...booking is advisable. We went twice and on both occasions I had jerk fish to start, which was excellent. I had tear-drop snapper for one main course and barracuda the second time. Both were very enjoyable although very slightly overcooked. I was surprised at the cost of living in Tobago so £50 per person, which included a bottle of wine, represented pretty good value.More

We were actually on our way to another destination, but decided to stop here instead. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the ‘happy hour’ was unexpectedly fun. We are planning to return before we leave for home.

This family run restaurant was very popular and we nearly missed out by not booking a table so make sure you plan ahead. It’s one not to miss. The food was delicious with a large menu. Well worth a try.
