Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The veg platter was back on and brilliant! All other food was brilliant. It was very busy and the lady apologised and offered free drinks! The gardens are sublime! We drive all the way from Oxford to visit! Bacon for the dogs as well!

An eye opening experience. We expected good food but to be impressed with Vegan food, from the menu, was very pleasant. A special thank you to Chloe and Jackie.

We called in at the antiques place on the way back from picking something up in Edwinstowe off Ebay. After a look in the antiques shop we thought we'd pop in the Cafe. It was situated on a sun trap courtyard with the option of...sitting outside and a pink house in the Normandy style to the back (apparently this is common in the Dukeries and was built in the Edwardian period by th Estate. As I've got older I've become intolerant to dairy as it is a migraine trigger, so was relieved to fid they catered for me when I asked for tea with oatmilk. In fact they had a very extensive Vegan menu. (I'm not a vegan but dairy obviously limits me). On the dessert special was a vegan offer for a Knickerbocker Glory. Now I used to love ice cream and Knickerbocker Glories take me back to my childhood in Forte's or Pacitto's. Obviously something that I cannot have as a matter of course so as I treat I thought I'd gove it a go. It was Heavenly. All fresh fruit, vegan cream and ice-cream. My wife had a stuffed hot croissant. The staff were freindly, chatty and helpful and if we're ever passing we will call in again. I will also definitely be telling my friends about this gem.More

Wow, just wow Been a while since we visited to be fair but our experience today was outstanding. Soup and Quesadilla, was out of this world and a real change to other places with the menu. Having a nosey at the food to other tables...looked fantastic, and later, all empty plates. The table service was exceptional. So pleasant and open to a bit of banter. Today , your team made 4 of us really welcome and most definitely will be back very very soon Have you made my room up ?More

Visited with my daughter for Mother's Day. We had the vegetarian afternoon tea and the food was absolutely delicious. All the staff were very friendly. The only problem we had was that we were really cold throughout, and the cafe has very little ambience. It...is quirky, but just needs a little money spending on it. Could be fantastic.More

We visited here because of its location and for its choice of gluten free options. I was pleasantly surprised when viewing the menu online for all of the gluten free options and I wasn't disappointed when visiting. All four of us enjoyed our meals and...puddings, really tasty and quality food with quick, friendly service. It's a small but cosy place with an antiques shop next door. There isn't much to do apart from walking but I'd definitely come back for the food.More

We met up with family, as it’s a midway point. So happy with the food choices, imaginative, beautifully presented and a great range for our vegetarian teenager. The burgers were voted the best they had ever had !! Quiche was delicious with attractive and tasty...salad. All the staff were attentive and efficient, and we’re all looking forward to our next visit.More

My mother and I booked a Festive Vegan Afternoon Tea for the 23rd of December. The tea was as near perfect as it could be. All the food was so delicious and imaginative. We had to ask for a doggie bag as no way were...we going to leave any behind! The staff, as always were so friendly and welcoming, just one of the reasons why we visit here regularly. I do hope there is a Festive Vegan Afternoon Tea again next Christmas because I’m looking forward to it already.More

We visited the bistro because we fancied a look around Budby Antiques and needed a bite to eat - we were so pleasantly surprised at this little hidden gem! It's a small and cosy place but well presented and could still seat us as a...family of 5 adults and a baby in a pram. The waiting staff were very friendly and chatty and the food which is all home cooked from scratch is amazing! A full vegan menu is available for those who require it (not just a few options at the bottom of the menu like most places!) Alcohol can also be purchased as well as soft drinks and teas and coffees. My husband had a burger which was absolutely delicious, I had a toasted butter croissant with ham and cheese and the rest of us has paninis - all very tasty and filling and beautifully presented. We also had deserts which were again home made and delicious. Had we not been driving past and noticed the signs for the antiques centre the day before, we wouldn't have found this lovely bistro, we will definitely visit again when we are next in the area!More

Jacky and the team hosted us for a small family wedding meal. The venue was perfect with all the flowers and as darkness fell the garden was lit beautifully. The three course meal was really good, all fussy tastes catered for and prepared fresh with...top quality ingredients. All very tasty. The staff were brilliant, very approachable and couldnt do enough for us.....impeccable, friendly service. We cant recommend this bistro highly enough for either a quiet lunch out, coffee and cake, or private event. A massive thank you to Jacky and the team!More

What a find! We came for the antiques and stayed for the cafe - a gorgeous setting, friendly staff and amazing menu. So quiet and peaceful in the garden cafe you could be anywhere in the world, but in reality only 10 minutes from Worksop....We’ll be returning with family and friends in tow, repeatedly!
