Had a great holiday in the Ionian Islands and visited the Yacht Bar in Vasiliki a few times. The owners were so kind and friendly every time we visited. We loved the family atmosphere and really enjoyed meeting Anastasia and Alexandra

Cold beer and good desserts

Went here for breakfast and was very disappointed. Ordered 2x club sandwiches that where 10e each, i have no problem with the price if the food is good but this was the most basic, bland and tasteless club sandwich we ever had! Also one of them came with a long hair in it so i instantly sent it back and asked that i no longer want it. Service was extremely slow, form getting the menus to actually getting the food. Avoid this place.

If possible to rate it with zero I would rate it that way, but anyway. I visited this establishment with my three daughters who wanted to have some ice cream. As the ice cream was sold inside, I walked with my children to the freezer to let them choose their flavors. Meanwhile, my wife sat down at a table by the sea in front of the establishment's terrace, with the intention of us sitting there, the kids eating ice cream, and us ordering something for ourselves later. However, the man who appeared to be either a waiter or the owner of the restaurant approached us without any greeting and told us that we couldn't sit at any table by the sea unless we ordered food. Maybe we intended to order something, but he couldn't know that for sure. I went back to my wife and told her what the man had said, and she immediately stood up and said she didn't want to eat at a restaurant where guests were treated like this. I returned to my children to finish the ice cream order, even if we weren't going to sit there, so they could take it with them. At that moment, the same man said, 'The price of the ice cream is different if you sit down, and it's different if you want to take it away.' This was the height of rudeness. They don’t deserve to be rated with 1.

The rudeness of the waiter spoiled our experience of this place

The rudeness of the waiter completely spoiled our experience of this cafe and we left before placing our order. He was shockingly rude. No surprise then that there were a lot of empty tables compared to the neighbouring restaurants. We found the warm Greek welcome we have become used to over all our years in Greece, at a taverna further along. As most of the eateries here are family run where the proprietors value their customers I would recommend visiting anywhere but this place. The waiter lost alit of custom today.

We visited Vassiliki for coffee and ice cream and day to this place with my family. We ordered ice cream and an espresso. The ice cream had pieces of nylon from the packaging and my kid got disgusted and couldn't eat it. When I went inside and complained, the waiter got frustrated and started talking to me some nonsense arguments. The rest is fine, but the waiter is totally weird. I wouldn't recommend it, find another place for cafe.

As others have mentioned, the waiter was rather rude - he openly mocked our company about some questions about the chocolate waffles. Portions are small and most of the items on the menu were not available... I don’t believe this place deserves such high rating

Rude, money grabbing, over priced place. It would be a shame to pick a place with such a rude man who's only focus is selling his over priced food, over their family run, friendly, good priced neighbours. If you like being hurried by your waiter, told your service is less important than others and reminded what a busy restaurant this is, while the majority of other tables are empty then this place is for you! As someone that adores greece and its culture this place embodies the opposite of it. Vasiliki is a generous, friendly town and you'd be doing its warm hearted locals a disservice by coming here. Yes it's a beautiful location and has a comfy exterior yet so does every restaurant on the pier at a much friendlier, much cheaper price. If in Vasiliki i would recommend the small bakery on the corner, the dolphin restaurant (not as sinister as it sounds) and the furthest restaurant on the corner. All lovely, family run businesses. The yacht cafe bar is by far the worst cafe/bar in Vasiliki

Rude nasty owner/waiter

**Avoid avaoid avaoid**Never have I experienced such rudeness from a waiter. Myself and my girlfriend sat down for breakfast, the waiter came and took my bottle of water and tipped it on the street. We thought he might have believed it was one left by someone else, so gave him the benefit of a doubt. We then ordered breakfast and just before he left to go back in my girlfriend said "oh sorry I forgot to add my coffee to the order". He tutted and slammed the menu back down on the table and pulled a face. Just super angry and rude to two customers who just wanted to order a breakfast. No stress required. We left immediately and walked to a lovely restarant just along the harbour where were were greeted with the basic human decency we deserved. Avoid this place as all costs!!! .

Worst breakfast ever

We went here around 10 a.m. This was the worst breakfast ever. Omelette was dry, eggs with a huge piece of shell inside, waffles were crunchy with undissolved sugar. And the tableware was dirty. Strongly do not recommend to visit this place.

We had two toasts and a yogurt. The walnuts were expired for sure on the yogurt. In general we were not satisfied and the prices are very high for the Greek context. Also the honey they brought, comes from the Balkans. I do not imply it is inferior due to its origins, but being in Greece , at a place that produces honey and they use foreign one...means a lot.

I had breakfast with my friend here last week and the omelette was good enough that I decided to go back today. Picture the scene : Sunday, 10am, not busy by any means. I decided to breakfast solo this morning. Picked a gorgeous table facing the sea for my Shirley Valentine moment… instead of bringing me the menu the man (who I now realise is the owner) said “this table is minimum 2 persons” sorry what? “So I can’t sit here?” Him: “no”. He didn’t offer me another table, just waited for me to leave. Please veto. You’ll find a less humiliating omelette.

Confirm reviews from other users. The owner is very rude. First day of arrival with my not too perfect English I ask the lady for me and my wife two espressos. She puts them in two plastic cups. I ask if you can put them in two cups or two smaller glasses. Suddenly he intrudes and practically kicks us out of the club saying we can't take this kind of drink from him there. I apologize explaining that it is the first day of vacation and I have not yet settled well. But in a very rude and rude way he sends us away.
