We stopped at this lovely restaurant on our way to Nice from Lyon. Ansouis is a small hill town in the Luberon area of Southern France. We ate in a small room next to the kitchen - it was interesting to watch the preparation of the food. The lunch was simply amazing - each course was thoughtfully prepared and presented... More

We had a perfect lunch here. Our table was on the little terrace overlooking fields; the day was perfect; and the menu well-judged and excellent value for money. I give very few restaurants 5 stars: La Closerie gets it because of the ambience and the professionalism of the cooking and waiting. The guide book said that it "has an excellent... More

Being a Michelin starred restaurant, it has of course a good reputation. Very friendly service. In summer you have a breathtaking view over a small valley from the terrace. As the restaurant is in high demand, you have to book in advance.

Our second visit, this time evening meal. A fabulous selection. The amuse Boucher was a delicious pumpkin soup with crunchy black bread, the venison was tender . Great service and good wines

This is a lovely restaurant. The dining room is very attractive, the food is superb, it has a very good wine list, and the service was friendly and truly excellent. We spent a week in Lourmarin and ate at seven different restaurants. La Closerie is clearly one of the best restaurants in the area, if not the best. I couldn't... More

There is something special about this place. The food is paired very well, vegetables plus meat combinations are well thought out in the dishes. Waitress is very professional, you get the feeling they went to a very good hotelier school (but I don't know - maybe just well trained). As with most french restaurants there is only one toilet but... More

As followers of TripAdvisor, took advice and headed to La Closerie for dinner. What a charming restaurant! The seafood risotto was wonderful being cooked to perfection and the pain perdu lived up to the rave reviews, a speciality of the house. Certainly a treat to have such a restaurant in this small sleepy but wonderful village.

A formidably good lunch as always; oh that we were resident and not just visitors from UK; and the "Pain Perdu" dessert is divine

La Closerie is located in a quaint location in Ansouis. We sat on the terrace overlooking a field with a quiet road dividing us and the restaurant. The menu fixe (30 euro) offered wonderful value for lunch. The crab and the beef were outstanding. The wine list was also very good. The service was also wonderful. Make sure you book... More

This was the first time we had visited Ansouis and we had read about La Closerie on Tripadvisor. It must have been kismet that having walked up from the car park at the entrance to the village that La Closerie was almost the first building we saw. Having book a table for two outside (the inside was fully booked and... More
