Used to be amazing but now after its reopening it somehow has gone down hill. The atmosphere is pretty much non existent. The last time myself and my partner were here we ordered steaks. They looked EXACTLY the same. Like they were pressed out of a machine. Stupid thought, but that's what it looked like. Tasted alright but not great.... More

As a family of 12 we ate here on a Sunday at end of November. 6 children aged 2-11 Eating main meals FREE and six adults who really enjoyed the lovely meal in a nice setting. Children were supplied with colouring papers and pencils upon arrival which kept them quiet and busy until their meal arrived. No fuss from staff... More

As recommended by Mr Donelly...took a trip to Grace Neill's on better half's birthday. The "ten minute" taxi ride from Bangor is closer to a half hour...but well worth the cost and the effort. Turned out my booking had gone AWOL. ..but that was no problem and staff slotted us in. Starters of prawn cocktail and local chowder were both... More

Called in for lunch with my wife and daughter. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who showed us to a corner table and quickly returned with our drinks order. Our meals were ordered and brought to us quite quickly. We had ordered silverside risotto and a prawn open sandwich and each one was excellent. We all really enjoyed the... More

Grace Neill's restaurant is very pleasant to visit for lunch. Plenty off road parking. The restaurant itself is well laid out. The food is good with a very fine menu. The service on the day in question was satisfactory. This was a lunch out with the ladies and we all enjoyed the experience. I have used this restaurant many times... More

Description
This bar has been around since before the English settlers landed in America (in 1620) and when it originally opened on this exact site on Donaghadee's High Street in 1611, it was known as The King's Arms. Since then, Grace Neill's has been visited by countless locals over the years, as well as smugglers and pirates, sailors and soldiers. Fishermen and lifeboatmen, businessmen and rascals have all enjoyed a drink or two in the original snugs at the front of the bar.
