Once again this evening Grace Neill's did not disappoint. Service and food excellent, look forward to a Christmas lunch in mid December and best of all I do not have to cook on Christmas day, booked for Christmas day lunch which makes my day!!

We arrived here early evening and were anticipating a lovely meal. We both had the crab cakes which were nice but they were full of mashed potato, very little crab. For my main I had steak and chips. The hand cut chips were mostly tiny bits, even the waitress looked surprised at the number of small bits when I pointed... More

My wife and I booked a table for two. The place was nice and the atmosphere was perfect. We were fifteen minutes early so we sat in the bar for a while and had a drink. We went into the restaurant and were seated at a nice table. The renovations have created a nice feel to the place. I had... More

I was here for a family meal with Parents, grand parents and children and there was something for everyone on the menu. Children eat free on a Sunday all day which is great as cooking is the last thing I wish to do on a Sunday afternoon.

Dear davycarleton, i am sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your meal with us, however we sold out of the Venison dish that night and i had nothing but compliments from every other customer who had it. I did try to deal with this myself on the night and apologised sincerely and offered you an alternative meal, which you declined.... More

Went with my parents and my 2 children. Everyone enjoyed their meal, my very fussy son cleared his plate. Kids deserts were excellent. Nice sized portions all round and good friendly service.

Nice enough bar but rather snobby and Yuppy throwback style . Over rated and over priced in all aspects . Was MUCH BETTER 40 years ago

Description
This bar has been around since before the English settlers landed in America (in 1620) and when it originally opened on this exact site on Donaghadee's High Street in 1611, it was known as The King's Arms. Since then, Grace Neill's has been visited by countless locals over the years, as well as smugglers and pirates, sailors and soldiers. Fishermen and lifeboatmen, businessmen and rascals have all enjoyed a drink or two in the original snugs at the front of the bar.
