Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We normally go to Florimont when there is snow on the ground, cold outside, and hopefully a view of the Alps and the lights of Geneva. And we did just that. For a change I had the Pierrade Refuge, which comes with gratin, and I...also helped others in finishing their fondue (my normal choice) and dessert. You really get the Refuge experience, without having to put on your snowshoes or hiking boots, and it has a refuge kind of decor. It is also a great place to take visitors of all ages, to give them a bit of the mountains before they head back to lower altitudes. We have never been disappointed, but you definitely need to make reservations, particularly if there is snow on the ground cold outside, and a clear view of Mt Blanc.More

I used to be a regular customer for many years until 2006 and went again tonight after 16 years far away. I didn’t know what to expect and it is still great. Therefore, I will become a regular again 👌🏻👏🏻

We visited this restaurant as it was within walking distance of our accommodation. It is situated in a stunning location & decoration is strictly alpine, but menu a little limited. We had already had a fondue at La Couronne, so opted for the flambeed beef...brochette which was disappointing. We live in a region of France reknowned for its beef & are able to buy 28 day hung at its best. This was not of that quality sadly so we struggled through 500gm of very very rare, tough meat which guaranteed 36hrs of extreme discomfort over the following days. The accompanying wild rice & morille sauce were excellent. The house wine was average, the staff were a little sullen & lunch service was rushed. If we were to return we would choose a cheese based option which looked very good.More

This is such a cozy place with great food and wonderful service The raclette was delicious! The melted cheese on the potatoes, or cooking your own selection of meats on your table, you can't lose. And the views from the restaurant were lovely Try this...place out, you won't be disappointedMore

I first visited Le Refuge de Florimont over thirty years ago. Returning now with my daughter I could only hope that my happy memories wouldn't be dashed by the latest experience. No problems. The cuisine and the welcome were just as good as ever. I...was emotional to be back enjoying the experience and the food which wa sall superb. I hope it won't be thirty years before I return again. We often come to this restaurant, it is our local favorite. We are always happy if we can bring our dog and dogs are allowed there. This time for my husbands birthday though we had really bad luck. The bread for our cheese fondue was...dry and cut in huge chunks. The hot stones for the pierade (meat) were not hot enough to grill the meat so that, in the end, we asked to take the meat with us and fried it at home. We always ask for an extra fork for the raw meat and think that should come with the pierade automatically, but that’s never the case. All in all the service was slow, even though when we arrived it was not even busy yet. I hope this was just a one off as we always liked this restaurant before. We will keep an eye on this one...More

This is a real family favourite of ours: we visit it every time we visit Geneva with the family It is half an hours drive from Geneva, on a hill that provides fabulous views of Geneva and the lake But we come for the cozy...atmosphere and excellent local food We always start with the pirade, a hot stone with (in our case) need, veal and duck slices to cook on it. Great fun and an excellent way to tempt your appetite. This also comes with a salad and the most AMAZING potato gratin! Perhaps the best part of the meal! We then have the raclette (a favourite with my wife) and the 3 cheese fondue (we all love this) The wines and good an reasonably priced Never had the deserts as we are always too full by then! A really great place, all year roundMore

The ongoing joke is that "do the chefs here even work?"...off the grill raclette, fondue and cooking meats on the heated volcanic rock, this restaurant offers the rustic and nostalgic dishes which are increasingly rare these days. It's a must visit.

This is the perfect destination for a grey wintery day in the lake Geneva region. In just a matter of 30 minutes into the Jura region of France, you are above the clouds with a glorious view of the lake. The restaurant is the real...deal with its charming mountain decor and rustic chalet feel. The fare is typically Savoie - fondue, raclette and pierrrade (hot stone) for grilling an assortiment of meat at the table (my favorite). Most dishes are served with potatoes and salad. Some nice local wines and you are all set for a perfect Sunday. You’ll need to reserve and arrive before 1:30, which is fairly standard in the French countryside. After lunch, you have plenty of places to walk and digest, while enjoying the incredible views.More

This is a chalet style building situated half way up a mountain, possibly further. It is very atmospheric and seems to specialize in indoor bbq (raclette , fondues etc) with lots of cheese. We had a raclette and melted in front of it even in...midwinter. For the price there was not a lot of beef and less vegetables for the raclette. The place is very atmospheric with strong aromas of charcoal , melting cheese and cooking beef. The staff were friendly speaking several languagesMore

Good food, great service, and a friendly staff; all in beautiful mountain setting. What more could you ask for? The rustic setting and the novel way fondue is served (a wedge of cheese placed near some hot coals) make this place unforgettable.
