If you want to feel in France while enjoying your vacations in José Ignacio, ALMACEN EL PALMAR, is THE PLACE. There you can have the breakfast, lunch, coffee but the utmost is dinner. The magic simple decoration, the lights, the outdoor fireplace, the music and of course the best cuisine you can eat in José Ignacio make this place UNIQUE.... More

A pleasant Restaurant with exceptional Beef - the background music can be a bit noisy though but well worth a visit. Not inexpensive, but then nothing is in this part of the Country

We had an enjoyable dinner at Almacen El Palmar which was recommended by our hotel concierge. The menu was a little odd - French / Morrocan meets South American - but the food was tasty and the service attentive if not polished.

We went here for lunch, would have come back for dinner if we had another night. We had some cool beer and wine for a hot day, and a light lunch of fish soup, pumpkin soup with the guys having the tuna sevechy- light but absolutely delish! The 2 guys in the band playing relaxing music, could have stayed for... More

We drove to Jose Ignacio for the scenery, arrived at sunset, and found this restaurant on the tiny central praça. It's decorated with whimsy - carnival hats, fairy lights, striped decking - and with a pair of interesting resident live musicians. We had variously from a good menu - which changes often - a good plate of charcuterie, wine by... More

Possibly one of the best beach restaurants I've ever visited in my life.. place beautifully arranged, service was pleasant, wine list may need more options (and believe it or not, Uruguayan wines are good enough to have more presence on it!). Food was not only finely presented but perfectly prepared (my greetings to the chef!). A place you can't miss... More

Truly great food which you cannot fault in fact the food is excellent - welcome was cold which left us wondering have we picked a wrong "un". Some would maybe enjoy the formality - was just a little too much for our party.

I popped in here for a coffee to try to wash away the taste of a dreadful lunch elsewhere. The delightful waiter persuaded me to try the alfajores as well - I would gladly go all the back there just for one more. This place proves that even in Jose Ignacio, not all the best things happen only at the... More

We had a good experience here. Good food (filet of beef was my best meal so far in Uruguay). Lamb curry and fish soup was good but not great. Service and ambience all exceeded expectations.

this restaurant is magical, it has a terrace in front of the Jose Iganacio's square, in the middle of the very small village, is incredible. The French chef Jean Paul Bondeaux is full of surprises and this one was nice one. Excellent menu and wine list. Service is superb. I just love to come for dinner to this place!
