I was disappointed with my choice of lamb. It was 4 thinly sliced pieces of meat which I had to pay an extra quid for! Looking at others food being served they all looked thicker cuts. The food was well presented, veg plentiful and gravy tasty and staff very friendly. Bit expensive for what I got! Dessert wasn't much better(see... More

We used to visit here as a family quite often for Sunday dinner, usually when we couldn't get booked for the Stables or wanted something a little cheaper. However it now seems to be the same price, especially when you include the drinks! The last few times we've been for dinner we've had to ask for extra veg - nowhere... More

This place has an excellent reputation and is recommended a lot! I have been 3 times aprox and it is not bad but is not the best or what people describe it to be. The last time I went I had to ask for my Sunday dinner to be heated up. I must admit I am fussy with the temperature... More

Had a meal for my birthday, with my Husband and Daughter, ordered our food, but it was very busy and had to wait, starters were good, then things went down hill, Thrice cooked chip just an excuse for burnt to a crisp, My husbands meal contained two pieces of chicken. I felt sorry for the waitress as she was serving... More

Have been many times when out on horses because of its location to our stables. The food we have had has been ok but overpriced in my opinion, as are the drinks. Especially a glass of wine. Would only go back to be sociable with other riders.

Called in for a quick drink on News Years Eve and ended up staying until last orders. Very friendly staff and owners. Excellent buffet with music and free shots & champers provided. Thoroughly enjoyed it - thank you.

This was my first visit to the Stackyard and it's going to be my only visit. The table was situated at the end of the bar, so people were squeezing past constantly. There was no atmosphere and when our meals arrived, one had a small portion and another was cold. This was rectified but then we waited over 30 mins... More

Had lunch yesterday and could not fault any of it. Staff were attentive and pleasant. Food beautiful. 2 had Christmas dinner, 1 had salmon and 1 had stuffed peppers all arrived at same time and was hot. Would recommend anyone to go for a meal.
