Visited here for a last minute lunch and we were able to get a last minute table in the September sunshine. The staff made us feel welcome from start to finish and were quick to take our drinks orders and give us menus. It was...surprisingly full for a Friday lunch time but the two ladies at the front of house were keeping up with the customers needs providing great service with a smile. I asked for a vegan menu and was provided with one, which was a nice touch. I had the mushroom and chestnut tart, it was amazing! I credit any chef that can cater well for vegans without resorting to the dreaded falafel. I would say it's probably the best lunch I have had in a long time . I feel blessed to have this wonderful venue on my doorstep and will be returning.More

Brilliant. So friendly. Lovely place. The food is fantastic and not over priced. I went for the steak. Cooked to perfection. Just great honest pub / bistro food done with passion. Got to love that.

Summer lunch outside under the canopy was outstanding. Beautifully presented food that tasted as good as it looked. Great staff. We stayed the night and breakfast in the morning was superb. Highly recommend.

Excellent meal, great setting and really good service. This place is beautiful, from the moment we walked in the staff were all attentive, offered us a choice of seating and gave us time to chat before ordering. Starters were outstanding, we had the smoked haddock...fishcake and charred chicken with soy with crispy noodles, both were cooked well. For mains, baked sea bream and charred chicken breast, both were good but the bream was the best dish, cooked to perfection with the tarragon butter being a perfect addition. The place is friendly, warm and laid back with some excellent choices of beers / wines. We would definitely come back again given how good it was. We started meeting here as a group some years back as this was a fairly central location.
