We called in for a pint during the Green Man festival - the pub was really busy, with a traditional folk session going on in the lounge. The pub itself is so lovely - lots of interesting spaces and some beautiful touches in the decoration. And a great pint & friendly staff too, we loved it.

Called in at the Sun Inn, only had a pint, Summer Solstice, very nice, it was the Green Man Festival so everywhere was busy, asked for a beef bap, it was wrapped so you couldn't see what it was like, a thin slice of beef, suppose to be horseraddish sauce, none in mine I could see, £3.50 was taking the... The view was lovely! Such good quality, fresh ingredients and great flavours. Beers were very good too, both the ales and largers

My wife and I had a meal at lunch time. The food was very good and served in reasonable time. But the details around the meal were lacking - no cutlery or serviettes or condiments, which had to be asked for. Maybe a new waitress?

I came here with my family and some of our friends about seven weeks ago for dinner. I've been to the pub before on many occasions, as I live in the area, but we thought we'd try it out as we knew it had a new team. Firstly, a massive surprise that there were no choice of starters. Incredibly strange... More

Twelve of us got together last Friday (9/12/16) night for the Christmas Menu which had a a very good choice. Food was plentiful, hot and presented well. The service was good and we couldn't fault anything.Staff Excellant. I would defiantly recommend the menu at The Sun this Christmas period. Thank-you.

Ate here last weekend: the fish was superb, the home-made soup excellent. Both quite reasonably priced. All the staff were attentive and efficient as well as being very pleasant. It seems that this pub is on the UP. They are putting live music back on too: a great idea. All in all, top marks all around.

We've been walking again - this time almost 9 miles in the stunning Clun Valley, topped off with the breathtaking vistas at the Bury Ditches Iron Age hillfort. We weren't planning on Sunday lunch - it sort of evolved as an idea on the way back (it getting near lunchtime by the time the thought entered the agenda), so made... More

One of the best Sunday lunches I've had. The new owners were very helpful and the staff very friendly. Good range of drinks, highly recommend!
