Very traditional, quite cheap but basic thai food. Meals came to the table luke warm which was disappointing. There are better options along this road in Karon.

Wanted a quick snack of pad thai (usually paying 40-50BHT in Bangkok, didn't want to be ripped off the 180-200BHT surrounding places seemed to be charging. Pad thai here was 80BHT, and pretty tasty - a little sloppy but by far one of the better places I've been to in such a tourist trap area. Would go back.

Was talking to a guy at the beach who recommended Ying so I went there with my friends later that night. I was really impressed by the Thai food (I don't eat fish or seafood otherwise I would have ordered that). I ordered beef in sour sweet sauce and it was the best dish I tasted so far in Thailand.... Clean and delicious foods are available. And prices are very value of money. They bring us a fruit plate end of our meal.

The cafe (all cafes are evidently called restaurants in Karon) looks pretty like all others, but service and meal quality is supreme here. Over our stay, we tried Ying, then 5 other restaurants, and eventually settled on Ying again. The prices are reasonable, and they offer free vegetables and fruit to whoever makes an order. The menu includes both Thai... More

We chose Ying because it was busy - surely a good sign. And it certainly was good. We ordered a mixed seafood starter to share. It was a lightly battered mixture of fish and shellfish, and some deep-fried green Thai leaf/herb - delicious! I would have no hesitation in recommending both the restaurant and the seafood. We'll be back.

Lovely little Thai and sea food restaurant. Good food and friendly staff. If possible have a table by the road if you enjoy the lively city life.

Ying was one of the busies restaurants in Karon when we were there over the Christmas/New Year period. Based on our experience at dinner, their popularity is appropriate recognition of the quality of the food served and the very good service provided. The food is influenced significantly by Cantonese cooking. All our dishes were tasty - red curry prawn was... More

This place is delicious! Enjoyed fish, squid and spring rolls and all was so good with so much flavour. Great service and good came out fast. Priced so reasonably, went to 2 places on the beach front and food was not as good and was more expensive. Restaurant was packed when we arrived we got the last table and pleased... More
