We visited Raya for dinner last week upon online recommendations, and were certainly not disappointed. This quaint little restaurant is located on the fringe of Phuket Old Town & not difficult to find. The charming heritage ambience hasn't been modernized at all, so don't expected to find much modern comfort here. Air conditioning only available in one downstairs room big... More

A more than 100 year old restaurant where the ambiance, the menu and the recipes have remained unchanged. The food is outstanding, every item they serve. It was quite comfortable during dinner in March but the place may be uncomfortable during lunch in summer.

Located in an old "Phuket" house, very hot inside except for a very small airconditioned room with only 4 tables! After hearing much about how good Raya is, we went to have lunch... Very disappointing in every way. Thai food was very average, not impressive at all. In fact, Phat Thai was awful as their noodles were way overcooked and... More

We had the most fantastic dinner at Raya last night. Service is fantastic, the restaurant has a great authentic feeling about it. Felt very comfortable the entire evening. The food is delicious, we can't express how delicious it is. We tried Tom yum, green curry, chicken chilli & basil, fried rice! 🍚 best we have had in Phuket, this is... More

Every dish cooked to the perfection and tourist friendly menu with pictures. You can choose your spicy level on each dish. We will definitely come back.

This restaurant looks great from the outside and inside. It has a colonial atmosphere and it really looked if time stood still. The menu is mouthwatering and the choices are plenty. We chose the steamed fish, the crabmeat with curry, vegetables (a kind of Asian spinach ) and fried pork with a seperate sauce. We had some Thai beer to... More

You will see many Asian people liking this place. Locals as well. This proves that the cousins is traditional and good. For me it was maybe too spicy, though they tried to make it less, but for spicy food lovers their green curry is great! Nothing fancy about the place, more like a cantina, so don't judge by the look.

Good attentive service and a charming staff to go along with the ambience. Go there when you're in Phuket----Cash only, find an ATM across the street in the Mall. Drink, Dine.... More

I was there on 15 Feb for two persons. I've ordered Shrimp Cake, Tom Yum, Morning Glory, coconut and Fried Rice Noodles. Morning Glory and Fried Rice Noodles are superb. Others are quite normal. Tom Yum is a bit sourer than other restaurants. There's no air-con. Locals love eating there. A bit expensive compared with others.

Great Thai cuisine and atmosphere. Not a fancy place, but quite a local restaurant with charming old school style. Worth to visit, not only the food, but also the furnishings.
