We visited a year ago and since then, the place has been refurbished and a large performing stage added. Everyone kept saying how busy Lajares and the island is this year, so we expected a crush at Canela. We went just after 7 pm midweek in February and there was only one other table occupied and there weren't many people... More

End of 2015 we visited Canela various times and the burgers were delicious. But this time the quality was disappointing. I think it was not a pure beef burger, but a mix of beef and pork. Poor quality. We ordered two different burgers, but the waitress brought the same. No tomato, no salad, no onions... Very sad

Thank you for your comment.. I can tell you 100% in 8 years of being the owner of canela I have never bought, used or served pork for my burgers.. I myself do not eat pork so would never serve what I wouldn't eat myself without it being advertised... Our burgers are not served with salad, but have no problem... More

Perfect option for lunch, dinner or quality snacks (tasty sweet potato and aubergine samosas, good hummus with veggies). Burgers and curries are all very nice. Good atmosphere and great value. Definitely a must if you are around Lajares after the last surf session, and need to eat something quick at any time.

What a surprise when we happened to pop into this place on the way back to El Cotillo from Corralejo. It was packed with people, the drinks were SUPER cheap (€2 for a nice glass of red wine) and some amazing live music! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Canela Café is more than a café, it also has a busy pub atmosphere and providing a restaurant setting if you wish. All food is cooked on the spot we have not yet had any food 'out of the freezer'. Good size portions sensible prices.

90 min waiting time for Burgers. 50% of the Menue not available, what we got to know after the ordering. No glasses, no Drinks - had to take it ourselves from the bar. At the end the waitress wanted to get 85 EUR for our 58 EUR bill. By the way, our Gorgonzola Burger was pure without anything except the... More

A lovely selection of freshly cooked food is on offer. As a veggie there are lots of options too, but also plenty of meat choices for the carnivores. The mojitos are yummy too. The staff are always really friendly and there's a really nice atmosphere in there. There's live music and it can get busy once they start up so... More
