We had a great time at Coruisk house! The waitress was very friendly and we got a nice table in the main room, next to the window. We ordered 2 mains, once fish, once meat and for desert a pudding and cheeses. The meals were very good and tasty, although a bit pricey, I think. The atmosphere was nice and... More

We had a truly wonderful meal last night. We had eaten at the 3 Chimneys last week and whilst this was a fabulous location and food to match Coruisk House is a quirky but perfect dining experience. The atmosphere, staff attitude (warm and hospitable), menu choice and presentation were absolutely stunning. Lobster brûlée with crab ravioli as a starter was... More

My husband and I visited Coruisk house while staying in Elgol. The food was outstanding and we loved the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We are already thinking about returning, possibly to stay in one of the rooms - I imagine the breakfast would be superb and, judging from our time there for dinner, the hosts could not be more welcoming!... Took our wedding party to the Coruisk House and we were blown away by the staff, presentation, and of course the food. It was BEYOND delicious. Wish I could come here weekly if I didn't live across the ocean! The view is to die for being just beside the ocean, and well, the entire afternoon meal was so peaceful we... More

Seldom have I visited a restaurant that offers the comprehensive experience that Coruisk House does - from the hospitable welcome by the lovely co-owner Clare, through the furnishings that exude subtle good taste, to a menu that embraces fresh produce only, prepared by Clare's partner Iain. Two of our party started with the Lobster Brulette, followed by the Sea Bass... More

The food was sublime. Dishes were scraped clean. The service was excellent. I cannot recommend this lovely little restaurant enough. The only downside is that the food was so good, the poor dog got no small snack that I usually bring home. I ate everything. A lovely end to a lovely holiday.

Elgol is sleepy, a very sleepy place, far from the madding crowd. One expects, one will be cooking but treats are on hand.... nestled and tooked away is Coruisk House .... a fine dining experience, only beaten by a fine wine selection, I was delight to see a Cabernet Franc coming in at a cheeky 35smackers. Excellent local venison, fish... More

Service, presentation, and facility were all excellent, however the food was not up to par. The fish was served with two very bland and fatty sauces, accompanied by basically a dressed up hash brown, the sum of which left a greasy after dinner sensation. For the £25, a better and much cheaper meal could be had elsewhere.

Don't worry about first impressions when you arrive. Overlook the Upvc conservatory. Don't worry about the ill fitting mdf bedroom doors forget the hostess warning you about keeping off this and that even though the place needs a good clean. The food is AMAZING and the wine is sumptuous. End of story.

It was lovely to meet Ian and Clare, who before we arrived, had already been prompt to respond to any queries and had been extremely helpful. They were friendly and hospitable. We settled into our cosy, beautifully decorated, excellently clean bedrooms and then enjoyed choosing one of several gins to go with tonic prior to one of the best meals... More

We source top quality ingredients from Skye. Our shell-fish come from Elgol harbour and our game and speciality meats from top quality suppliers on the island. Our food is simply and elegantly prepared and served in our informal and cosy restaurant. We have an excellent and carefully chosen wine list, having visited some of the vineyards from which we source our wine. We have a range of single malts to provide an aperatif or a flourish to end your meal at Coruisk House. Reservations for lunch and dinner are always required 24 hours in advance
