Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely friendly staff, good range on their menu and happy to say all sandwiches could be gluten free. Fabulous setting right by the sea. Parking is £1.50 per hr. We used one of the 3 beach huts which felt very holiday like and sheltered us...from the wind!More

We were happy to find this lovely little cafe open and fully stocked in March. Perfect place to sit and relax after a couple of hours climbing the rocks. Lovely fresh food menu, with outside and covered eating areas, depending on the weather! Wouldn't hesitate...in returning if visiting this beach again.More

What's the difference to a customer wanting a coffee and a customer wanting to hire two kayak's ? Well to Talland cafe its a lot. Made a special journey to Tallnd Bay with my daughter to hire two kayaks, was abruptly told by the lady...serving that they were too busy to hire out Kayaks !! They need to change their website to Kayak's for hire ( but only when it suits ). Went to Looe Sea Safari instead. Just a side note, if your going to Talland Bay, take a picnic, you'll save an absolute fortune.More

I had a wonderful freshly made crab sandwich. And such a warm friendly welcome, which is appreciated even more when you’re travelling solo. Wonderful setting too

We love it here. It’s our go to place for an ice cream treat and we wish they opened in the winter more. There is a problem with wasps this Summer and we haven’t seen any preventative measures in place which is disappointing but really...this is such a friendly place on a super beach you can’t fault it! We wonder who owns the beach? It would be even better if they could clear the stinky seaweed so we don’t, as disabled visitors, slip over.More

Great spot - only slight criticism is they need to move the bin away from the seating area as it attracts wasps

This little cove is such a find on our coastal walk & the cafe has amazing views to enjoy whilst eating some lovely home cooked food. Staff are friendly & helpful & food was served quickly despite it being busy. My ham & cheese panini...was divine as was my husbands crab baguette. I even took a piece of tiffin home to enjoy later! A cashless cafe which suited us. Would highly recommend!More

Walked the costal path from Polperro...so by the time we got to Talland Bay we were ready for some refreshments. The cafe has outside seating as well as inside. Great service, everything really clean and tidy. Flat white coffee was spot on (not always the...case) and we had a couple of very high quality meat pasties. Overall a top notch beach cafe.More

I recently visited Talland Bay Cafe and wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, my visit took an unexpected turn due to a safety issue with the outdoor seating, which resulted in a significant injury and subsequent health complications. While sitting on the benches outside the...cafe, I encountered an alarming problem. The benches were untreated and lacked any protective paint, which led to a regrettable incident. As I sat down, I unintentionally cut my leg on a jagged piece of wood, resulting in a deep wound. To my dismay, a half-inch splinter became lodged in my leg, and despite my attempts, I was unable to remove it. The severity of the situation escalated when the wound became infected, necessitating immediate medical attention. I had to endure a lengthy five-hour wait at Liskeard Community Hospital, where healthcare professionals provided the necessary treatment and prescribed a course of penicillin to combat the infection. This unfortunate turn of events has significantly impacted my holiday, as I now must adhere to specific meal times in order to coordinate my penicillin intake. In light of this distressing experience, I implore Talland Bay Cafe to urgently address the safety of their seating arrangements. It is imperative that the management thoroughly inspects the benches, removes any jagged wood or potential hazards, and takes appropriate measures to ensure the safety of their patrons. A thorough sanding down of the benches would greatly reduce the risk of injuries like the one I sustained. While I acknowledge that accidents can happen, the repercussions of this incident have been far-reaching and have marred what should have been an enjoyable visit to your cafe. I believe it is of utmost importance that Talland Bay Cafe takes immediate action to rectify the safety issue and prevent any future occurrences. It is my hope that by sharing my unfortunate experience, the management of Talland Bay Cafe will take this matter seriously and prioritize the safety and well-being of their customers. It is crucial that measures are implemented to prevent similar incidents from happening to others in the future. Please be aware that this review reflects my personal experience and the negative impact it had on my holiday. I encourage potential visitors to exercise caution when using the outdoor seating at Talland Bay Cafe until the necessary safety measures have been implemented. Disclaimer: Please note that this review is based on my personal experience and should not be considered as a definitive representation of all experiences at Talland Bay Cafe. Others may have had different encounters, and I encourage readers to consider multiple perspectives before forming an opinion about the establishment.More

This is a great spot near to the beach and has a good selection of food with outside tables. We had draught lager and refreshing elderflower wine plus jumbo sausage roll and beef roll with salad which was tasty. Sausage roll was lovely and hot.

We walked from Looe to Talland Bay along the coastal path. At the end of our walk was a beachside cafe run by cheerful staff. After a cold drink and lifesaving ice cream the kids paddled while the adults soaked up the view

Until Cornwall Council or the Beach Cafe sort out the toilet situation either by the Council rectifying the "fault" in the public loo or the Cafe providing more than 2 horrible PortaLoos (no disabled one if you need to know) then despite Talland Bay being...beautiful we won't be back. 50p for a pee in nearby Polperro.
