Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

How many times do you eat out between Christmas and New Year and wish you hadn’t? Not here. The Five Elms - a pub I frequent occasionally - is in a class of its own in Bucks by offering a standard of astonishingly good food...and superb hospitality all year round. A treat time after time. Thank you Andrew, Tom and Amy.More

Top venue as I was meeting a friend. Warm welcome and amazing food without being pretentious. I wish I lived nearer. I want your venison every week! Thanks for a lovely night.

Oh my goodness what a treat! Went with friends we arrived a little late but wasn't a problem at all. Staff are so friendly and polite made us very welcome. The food was delicious! Tastes we hadn't experienced before! Yes it was a little expensive...but worth every penny. Would definitely return for a special occasion.More

My husband and I came here on Saturday night. We had a warm welcome from the moment we stepped inside. The food and service was amazing, I'm just gutted we hadn't come here sooner! We will be back keep up the good work. I would...say its better than some Michelin star restaurants we've been to.More

Have been meaning to try the Five Elms for so long and finally went for Saturday lunch, this place is a little gem. Great atmosphere in a beautiful country pub and Andrew was very welcoming. We all had the set lunch menu and the food...was absolutely delicious. We couldnt fault a thing. The presentation was fab and my sea bream was cooked to perfection and the pumkin veloute with goats cheese starter was fab too. Cant wait to return.More

So pleased we chose to eat here during our time in Aylesbury. We had a lovely warm welcome to this traditional village pub and enjoyed a pre-dinner drink by the log fire in the bar. Dinner was outstanding - every mouthful was delicious and we...both even had dessert - which is something we rarely do. I can't praise this place enough - just wish we lived closer.More

The food here is exceptional and I enjoy the fact that the menu changes often. There is always something new to explore. We visited this time with friends, who had not been before and they were blown away. A comfy cozy little pub, with the...fire to warm on an autumnal day.More

Fantastic from start to finish. Lovely warm welcome & great to see the open fire & log burner roaring! We been here a few times now and always impressed with the delicious food & generally warm feel about the place. Today we tried the roast...lunch....11 out of 10, the best roast dinner we have ever had! You know a country pub is serving the right food when everyone in the bar area is talking about the amazing food, especially some of the starters on the current menu.More

Oh my goodness what an amazing meal! I am the fussiest eater and I totally trust everything Tom cooks. I don’t need to see the menu, it’s all amazing! From the minute we walk in, Andrew and Amy are the dream team (Joe you are...awesome too) we had the most fabulous Saturday evening - thank you. Ps how the heck does ice cream actually taste like croissants??!!More

What a lovely little place! We had an amazing dinner at this picturesque little pub. I’m vegetarian and I’ve never had such a subtly delicious lentil dish as I had here. I’m used to mediocre restaurant vegetarian meals so this was truly a revelation. The...other members of our party had fish which I’m told was also delicious. The food was beautifully presented, the service was faultless and friendly and the atmosphere cozy. Altogether a super evening.More

We went for dinner last minute, having not visited for last five years. New owners and chef……faultless, what else can I say. From front of house, service and exceptional food…..I have never before got straight back from somewhere and felt compelled to write a review....It was a 10/10 meal….no faults….and I’m picky!! Not cheap, but worth every penny. Great wine list, lovely choice of dishes and all cooked to perfection. Well done boys…will be back soon!!!More

They have very good food in a very good setting. It's a traditional British, village pub. I'd definitely take my partner there for valentines.
