Had a night at Wood Green Travelodge and needed somewhere for breakfast the following morning. My wife is a Coeliac and Charlie's provided the all important gluten free bread! My vegetarian breakfast was equally great. Service was speedy and courteous. Great place and great staff.

Breakfast was lovely 🥰

I was only passing due to another reason from being in Wood Green. I asked a Primark employee where was a good place to eat. They suggested CHARLIES. I found the spot straight away they had indoor and outdoor seating. I had to pay before...hand. I deceided to order the Heavenly Vegan. I did not want toast but asked for a pouched egg instead. Obviously this isn’t something they do as it was not within the menu however they managed to cater for my needs of which I was grateful. The taste was delicious and I was able to enjoy each part of my brunch. Presentation was clean and well thought out. I ordered pancakes to go as I was in a rush. Thing is, is they didn’t add cutlery. Not sure if this was a mistake or they just didn’t provide it. The pancakes were ok, although I have had better. Hoping that if I ate them there and then they would be lovely but I’ll have to check that out next time. I did think the service was great though and speedy. Price for breakfast and pancakes roughly £25 so not too bad. What a cute spot 👌🏽 will visit again.More

You’ll find it hard to matcha the Almond Croissants

A great array of pastries, savoury and sweet lay across the counter top. I ordered some takeaway, an almond croissant which was still warm as they had just opened, a bacon and egg roll and matcha latte. First time matcha buyer, also will be the...last. I had my pastry and matcha as I waited for my hot roll. I indicated I made a mistake trying out a matcha latte, without hesitation the gentleman offered me a free latte. I thought that was an incredibly kind gesture, one he didn’t need to do. It was my mistake but he doubled down on his offer and I’m glad I did not refuse. The latte was exceptional. I tipped a couple £ in gratitude for this kind offering. Then wished the staff a good day as I left with my roll. Egg could exactly to my liking, semi hard and with lightly crisped bacon. I hope to return tmrw for another almond croissant and brew! Thank you for your service!More

Pancakes OMG

Excellent stop for brekkie

First class brekkie. We both had the blueberry pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, delicious and set you up for the day. Quick service too although was quiet at time.

Fab start to the Day

After reading reviews on here for breakfast I can honestly say it was a fab breakfast and start to the day. The staff are lovely and friendly. We visited here twice, first time ordered Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royal, both were very good. The second...time we ordered Eggs Benedict and Scrambled eggs in Toast. The eggs for scrambled were, for me, perfect. The salmon for the Eggs Royal was plentiful. There is water available at the counter and tea and coffee was just again as we like it. Would we go again……yes Thanks to the team!More

Disappointed experience

We went to Charlie’s for late brunch with my husband. It was disappointed ! We ordered 2 eggs royale and chips. Chips had 12 pieces and that was £3 we were really surprised. Eggs royale had a really hard bread that I have never seen...before. Also eggs was really cold. Our waiter was attentive and we said about the portion of chips which is the smallest I’ve got in my life. He said that is the regular portion for the place. Very disappointed. We will never go back.More

Delicious breakfast

After staying across the road in a hotel we came here for breakfast. We got The American and the lemon curd French toast with a caramel iced latte and an orange juice. Beautifully presented; and really tasty. Friendly staff too. Lovely cafe.

Amazing vegan breakfast

Wonderful cafe opposite the Wood Green travelodge. Had the most amazing vegan breakfast. Good selection of cooked breakfasts for meat eaters too. Juices and coffees, cakes looked yummy too. Friendly environment with yummy food

Great cafe

Great breakfast just what was needed after a night at Ally Pally watching the darts. Excellent service, friendly and good staff with a chilled/relaxed atmosphere. Had full English breakfast with tea and fresh orange juice. All fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend. Top stuff

we really love the place shock. desserts are great. but we have been drinking flat white twice and it is extremely bitter. either there is a problem with your coffee or your coffee machine. please find solution. we love you.

Perfect for couples and good place to eat.

Very nice service by the Italian waiter and a very good and testing food. They have also a smoking area and fantastic coffees.

Lovely place to go.

Decent coffee and food

Decent coffee and food Been here a few times. Relaxed atmosphere, breakfast has good portions and the location is great (next to the shopping centre) - a good choice
