This is not just a bar, it has attached to it excellent sushi from Zen, and the Indian from Chi. Last night i had the chesters burger. Burger was sooper tasty (temperature could have been a bit warmer) but it did came out some 10 minutes after the rest of the table had all their sushi (yes this is one great advantage of chester's that you can order from any of their attached outlets and is delivered to your table). Note to management, please provide the option of the bun being a proper burger, not a brioche bun or cake as i see it. Not a sports bar, but always has many screens showing all sports. The Staff are always running around and very attentive to your needs.

We have been visiting Chester’s when we are in Limassol for many years now (we live beyond Paphos) and The food is very good (something a bit different). I particularly want to comment on our visit yesterday. When I explained to the waiter that I had been having dental treatment and could only eat soft mushy food, so would it be possible to make up a meal that wasn’t on the menu, he was so helpful and fulfilled my request. So thank you Elias for your kind, compassionate service. My husband also enjoyed his chicken fajitas. Bravo keep doing what you do Chester’s!

Visited this bar while on holiday with family who recommended we have a drink here and are from the area. Overall was impressed with the layout plenty of outdoor seating which is needed.
Drinks were reasonably priced for this type of bar and service was very good and efficient. There was also plenty of parking available as there is a car park though we were within walking distance.
Did not sample the food on offer though I have been told it is worth a try if you visit and are in need of bite to eat. The menu certainly had lots of meat options including steak and burgers, though was happy to just have a drink on this occasion.
Also there were several TV screens both indoor and outdoor which are used for various sporting events including football matches.
Only negative is on a main road and bearing in mind you are very close to the sea would have preferred a view of the sea rather than a road.

We've been going to Chester's for around 19 years, and always enjoyed our time there, however, we've noticed the standard of service has slipped recently.
Last night I took my wife for a Birthday meal and in our opinion the standard of service now couldn't get much lower. The drinks order took 3 attempts to get right, several staff walking past my empty glass without noticing, 10 minutes to bring the next drink when someone finally acknowledges your existence. It's not even as if the place was full.
Our steaks were well cooked and tasty so no complaints about the food. Normally at the end of the meal I'll ask my wife if she wants dessert and if she does I'll have another beer (or 2). Last night we couldn't wait to finish up and get out of there so no dessert and no beer. I didn't leave a tip.
It's such a shame because I've always enjoyed the treat of going to Chesters for a well cooked steak or best pork chop in Cyprus (description by my Cypriot friends) but I’m unlikely to want to receive that level of service again.
In summary, I think you need to bring back the old staff or train the current lot to the previous standard. I really hope you can address this before your reputation takes a terminal fall.

First of all, its really great to hear that you enjoyed the food you were served, as, at the end of the day, it is THE main product we offer. So that is a huge positive in your review.
As for the poor service - nothing is an excuse really, however this has not been the easiest of years, for the hospitality industry especially, due to Covid19 global disaster. We had 4 lockdowns during which we have lost a lot of our old staff (people went back to their home countries).
We are doing our best to train all our new staff to the level of pre-Covid standards, it is something we are not going to stop doing until the right results are achieved.
That being said, we also receive a lot of very positive feedback from our customers, regular and otherwise, regarding our team and the service they provide. So generally the feedback is good (unfortunately, fewer positive comments make it to the Tripadvisor, than the negative).
Mistakes happen and we are committed 100% to rectifying them, minimizing them, and the long term goal is eliminating them altogether.
Please accept our sincerest apologies that your visit didn’t go better in terms of service.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue working even harder on improving our staff.

We had 5 waiters during the evening. First they ask me if I want rice with my chicken tikka masala and then serve it without it. When i asked for it, it seemed like it was a problem to get it. I asked for raita just to be lectured about when it should be served. My husbond asked for more bearnaise sauce, and it came cold … twice. Because it could not be warmed up…. It Can be done other places, that we know. Waiter nr 5 passed by and throw the dessert menu without us asking for it… we decided to order tiramisu and when he came with it he couldnot tell us about the cake on the top of the glass. I have no idea, he said. Waiter nr 2 was complaining to others about us… we asked for the check - then we had to wait 15 min to pay the bill. Because manager was too busy… talking and joking with other waiters… as said food was good, but service was lower than low… rather dissapointing way to end the vacation

Since losing quite a few of our core staff during the covid lockdowns we have hired a lot of new staff that we have training committedly.
Generally, we feel, judging from all feedback we get, the restaurant is currently in a good shape.

I was extremely disappointed with the level and service and quality of food we received last night. I have been coming here for many years and always look forward to the food and the service. We ordered a sushi platter for starter and soft shell crab, the soft shell crab was cold and the sushi arrived half way through our main courses. I had the Hibaachi mixed seafood and was told by the waiter that it came with rice which it did not, the vegetables that accompanied my dish and the dish of a colleague who had the beef fillets were cold. Another colleague who ordered the cashew nut chicken and rice received his main course and ten minutes later his rice arrived to accompany the dish. My main came out 15 minutes before anyone else’s dish. The waiter did keep apologizing however I found the experience extent disheartening as I have always enjoyed my visits and recommend Uptown square to all family, friends and colleagues.

As you have visited us before you know that we are 3 restaurants and a cocktail bar on one square. To please our customers – if they so wish we allow them to order from any of the kitchens according to their preferences, mood and etc – even though it means a lot more leg work for our staff (and before this wasn’t allowed), but, if it makes the customers happy – we will run. Always.
The problem, however, is that if one table is ordering from 3 kitchens- it is very hard to coordinate the timing of dishes being ready simultaneously.
Our staff are instructed that in situations like this they must always inform the customer that the food may not arrive the same way like it does when coming from one kitchen.
Regarding the waiter’s mistake about the dish being served with rice – our staff make a huge effort for knowing well, first of all, the menu of the restaurant where they work, and then all the other menus.
Given that in total there are 5 different menus – the dishes are so many - unfortunately our member of staff made a mistake and for that we apologize to you.
You have visited us before many times as you say and didn’t have these issues.
Please would you be so kind as to provide some more details for us to look into the matter properly and find out what was wrong?.
We take all our customers’ feedback very seriously and always do our best to eliminate any issues and prevent them from happening again in the future.

Visited on a busy Saturday night, had to sit inside, as no room outside, just like sitting in a sports bar pub. We ordered pork chop, squid & a combo platter, I asked the waiter what vegetables came with the squid, he said, “yes vegetables”, asked what sort he just said , “yes vegetables”. (Perhaps some staff training is in order?). The pork chop arrived over cooked & dry, so sent it back, the next one was raw, with blood, the manager then took it away again, and luckily next time, it was cooked! My mother in law had the combo, which was brown fried food, wedges, onion rings, wings, spring rolls & breaded chicken (she was happy). My squid came with roasted aubergine & peppers, although we had eaten ours by the time my husband had sent back and forth the pork chop!

The web site menu photos look very nice but the reality is very different. Very average food and overpriced. I don't normally write negative reviews but unfortunately this time it is deserved.
I asked for a well done burger which was pink inside, tasteless and almost cold as were the potatoes.

Superb food, great atmosphere, fantastic service and friendly staff. Prices are a little higher than what we’re used to paying in Cyprus so we were a little dubious about trying it however you definitely get what you pay for. I had the cornfed chicken with cumquat glaze and crushed potatoes, it was absolutely amazing, my husband had the Texan Burger, he said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had. Can’t wait to return!

Chester’s has been recommended to us by a taxi driver on our first evening and we have been returning each day for the rest of our trip. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely effective and nice, doing everything they could (and beyond) to make us feel welcomed. The restaurant is spacious and very lively, heavily visited by locals, which only confirms the quality of service.

We have been visiting Uptown Square for the past 3 years and we keep coming back not only because of the high quality delicious food but also the real heroes of this establishment led professionally by Greg such as Mimi Bianca Ilias Alex Angelo just to name a few. Greg is always at the door greeting customers with a smile and making sure we get a table even when the place is packed. Service is always very good and the choice of different menus such as Chinese,Indian, Japanese means that there is always something different to try. We highly recommend this place to anyone and we would have given Chesters 6 stars if it was possible.

We were staying at the Parklane resort and wanted to find somewhere local to eat. The hotel staff recommended Chesters so we went and checked it out. It's very casual and relaxed, the staff are superb, friendly and welcoming and the food is of a high standard. It has a huge menu of different styles of food, there are several restaurants on the same site and you can order from any of them so you can all eat different cuisines! There really is something for everyone. We enjoyed it so much we ate there three times during our 7 night break! The manager Grigoris treated us like old friends and from our first visit, made sure we had an excellent table each time. Couldn't recommend more! I just wish we had somewhere like this in the UK, great concept, super food and wonderfully warm hospitality!

We visited Chesters on our last evening on holiday as a change to the hotel restaurant meal. We were certainly not disappointed. My wife has tried many non alcohol pina coladas over the years, but rates the one that she had at Chesters as the very best. We ordered mains of sea bass fillets and the Iberico pork chops. I've never been asked in a restaurant before how I'd like my pork chops cooked, so was very surprised when asked. I played safe and went for meduim. What I ended up with were the best tasting pork chops that I have ever eaten - there's simply no other way to describe them. My wife said the same about her sea bass too - the best she had ever tasted. This obviously sounds high praise, but it is genuinely how we felt after eating our meals. The portion sizes are extremely generous too. We finished the evening with two excellent deserts as well. The only downside was that we did this on our last night in Limassol, but if we're ever here again we will certainly pay Chesters another visit. It was certainly a great evening to round off our holiday.

Even though we’d not booked and it was a Saturday night, we were shown to a table and handed menus.
We were then offered a nicer table if we wanted, nice touch of them.
Food was really good, service & overall atmosphere was great. Definitely returning later in holiday

This place is so good we visited twice.
The pulled lamb shank comes highly recommended by the courteous staff and does not disappoint.
The platter to start is a meal in itself.
Chester runs a tight ship and is always smiling.
If you're staying in Limassol, this place is worth a small trip out, but booking is essential.
