Excellent pub - great food, lovely staff and all in a beautiful location. Was recommended this pub by a friend and it lived up to its reputation. Look forward to returning soon

My wife and I visited on a Thursday evening and had a really lovely meal. The service and food were both excellent, as was the ambience in the lower restaurant.

Excellent meal! We were surprised how busy this pub was on a Friday evening at 6pm, but that was obviously a good sign. We were greeted efficiently and served drinks in the bar. Once at the table service was really good, friendly and the food...excellent, well presented and tasty. Well worth a visit after many years.More

A group of three friends wishing for a super Saturday lunch - not too good, sadly. I have been visiting this lovely establishment for over 40 years but today was not at its best

We had food out in garden, service was great nothing too much trouble for any of team. I had fish & chips was lovely, curry sauce was like a tikka sauce which was a nice change to a traditional chippy curry sauce. Food hot and...garden well looked after. Will be back in winter months to sit and enjoy the undercover area outside too!More

What a great find! Living only a few miles away, I'm ashamed to say this was our first visit, but definitely not our last. What a cracking village pub - lovely staff, beautiful pub (and garden), great food. We'll be back and sure to recommend...to others.More

Returning for the first time in about a year and not disappointed. Excellent menu, attentive staff, good quality food. Only downside (and this is being picky) is that there don’t appear to be any specials available. Other than that it is very good.

Lovely pub/restaurant staff polite and attentive. Enjoyed meal very much however portions were quite small. Prices were good for the quality if not the quantity of food. Thought adding 10% tip to the bill which included drinks was a bit over the top. Will not...be visiting again even though as stated the ambiance and attention to detail was excellent.More

Stopped for lunch as saw the sign on the A46. We were not disappointed at all. Had a lovely lunch sat in the sunshine at the front of the pub. They’ve made an effort with planters at the front full of beautiful flowers and plants....The staff were great, friendly and helpful and prices were very fair. All in all, a very enjoyable Lunch stop in a nice location. Would go back.More

Amazing Sunday roast! Melt in mouth beef and lamb and gravy to die for!! A little more expensive than some restaurants but everything was cooked with love and attention, so definitely worth paying the extra. Lovely setting too - we sat on the decking area...but inside pub is really cosy and there is also a covered area outside which is very pretty.More

Visited here for Father’s Day in June and weren’t disappointed. The Sunday lunch was lovely, the lamb fell apart and there was plenty of veg and gravy!

We booked this pub based purely on location for friends to meet up, it certainly didn’t disappoint! The staff were attentive and friendly, the food is fantastic and sourced locally, and the ambience is relaxing. Can’t wait to return.
