I was walking back from watching my daughters ride at Whiteleaf Stables to Faversham, the pub was open and I fancied a pint or three. Went in and the eating area was buzzing but as I sat at the bar I waited and waited and...waited, about ten minutes later I asked if I could get a drink, I was tutted at and asked what I wanted so a pint down, dare I ask for a second, yes and after what seemed a life tome it arrived. I then removed myself from the pub and walked back to the Sun and enjoyed excellent service. I will never go back to this pub again, shame, as the food looked good but if hey can't serve a pint of beer and there is so much competition, their loss....More

picked this pub as it was half way meeting point from Dartford and North Kent coast. Pub is accessed by a very quiet country lane and is in countryside. It is a very old and quaint setting with open fire place in the bar. Food...was excellent with a good choice of specials and desserts. Drinks were good and as a Shepard Neame pub they had Master Brew and Whitstable Bay on draft. Staff were very friendly and accommodating of any special dietary requests. Looks like they have a decent garden area which I am sure is popular in the Summer. We will definitely return soon.More

After some amazing experiences elsewhere in the UK, we looked for a restaurant in Kent that could match the food and service. We googled "best belly pork in kent" and the searches returned the Plough Inn. We booked our table and travelled the 30 minutes...from medway but manged to go to the wrong Plough Inn, 20 minutes away. We rang them and they were kind enough to keep the kitchen open for us to arrive and even when the kids wanted extra garlic bread they accommodated us. The food was delicious, belly pork was amazing, pie pasties were perfect and the prawn, squid and halloumi platter was demolished without leaving a crumb. The puddings were home made and a perfect end to our meal. We all left feeling full but not overly so and we don't get to eat out very often so would definitely love to come again.More

Absolutely love The Plough. The food is excellent and the hospitality is brilliant. My husband always opts for the steak and ale pie which is the best. I tend to differ but am always more than satisfied - it’s the best.

We were able to enjoy evening meal and Sunday lunch oh my the food was amazing and the service very attentive. Staff made us feel welcome and didn’t mind having a chat whilst still providing a great service to all. Pub is a quaint well...looked after and very busy, make sure you book in advance. Onto the food. There were specials available as well as the main menu. The shared starter was a good size for two, I had the Steak and Ale pie it was homemade big chunks of steak and happy to bring more gravy when I asked. Plum crumble was great totally full up. Sunday we both had the lamb roast it was delicious. Then the desert menu came I had the strawberry pavlova what can I say it was sublime. So good I even order one to take home that was treated like precious cargo all the way home. I strongly recommend this pub for a lovely cosy meal with friendly staff who are so helpful.More

The chef came out to our table to talk to us as I have food allergies. He was amazing! We discussed which dishes I liked and how he could tweak them. The food and service are outstanding and it has to be one of the...best meals I have ever tasted. Can’t recommend enough. Thank you!More

Decided to go to the Plough Inn as it was recommended on a camping app called park4thenight. Called ahead and asked to camp on car park, guy on the phone was very helpful. Also booked a table for food. The food was outstanding. I had...the steak and ale pie and croissant bread and butter pudding. Both beautiful and could tell they were made with love. The waiter was very attentive and helpful with our questions. Would highly recommendMore

We first discovered The Plough Inn in October 2021 and were fortunate to find the last available table for a weekday lunch. Impressed by the food and friendly staff, we returned today to celebrate my birthday with the family. Another warm welcome from different, though...equally attentive, staff. The quality of the meal was outstanding and the extra mile was the candle in my dessert and a rendition of Happy Birthday! Much appreciated and can't wait to visit again.More

How lucky were we to visit The Plough last Wednesday, on a night they're usually closed, but had opened specially for another group. A most beautifully decorated pub, adorned with tasteful festive decorations, both in and out. The food was a treat for our senses....Cooked to perfection with beautiful presentation. The staff were very pleasant and we felt so relaxed by the warm fireside. It was also a pleasure to meet Bob. If we visit North Kent again, we will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality, have a happy Christmas with our good wishes.More
