Grew up in the village and have seen this pub change a few times over the years. Was slightly dubious as the last time I ate in here it wasn't great, given that was a few years ago! Staff were welcoming and the pub has...More

Was soo pleased to find this pub last Sunday, had a gorgeous roast lunch and homemade Cheesecake, sitting in the pub garden overlooking the fields . Great beer too from local Brewers . We will definitely return and staff really friendly 😊

This sounds terrible. We always have vegetarian options available so do not understand this statement at all. With regard to the glasses, lipstick is very difficult to remove. We regularly wash our glasses by hand and then put them through the Glasswasher to ensure they...More

DO NOT RUN AWAY! This is not how we run our business. Our chef has advised that he did forget to put dressed leaves with one sandwich. The lady staff member on duty denies saying that you could only have sandwiches and chips. Our staff...More

Hard to find a pub in or around big towns that hasn't been 'gastroified ' or branded, but this one has survived, serving straightforward food, mostly predictable but none the worse for that. We went on a sunny Friday lunchtimeuhu, to find just three customers...More

I am glad that we are appreciated. We are do not wish to become a Gastro Pub or a "ping and ding" Pub (where everything is bought in and just microwaved, hence some pubs serve your meal some 5 minutes after you place your order!)....More

I am sorry to her that your table was "dirty"! I guess that you sat at a table that the staff had not had time to tidy and clean having been used by customers just prior to your arrival. I am very sorry and this...More

Hi John, thank you for your really nice review. We always try really hard to welcome our visitors and make them feel comfortable and relaxed and, most of all, very welcome. Our burgers are home-made and packed with meat, hence they take a while to...More
