Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a Michelin star restaurent set in an old water mill on the river. It is a beautiful setting and when the weather is good you can eat or take drinks outside. We ate in the main restaurant. The servers, food and ambience are...amazing. We ate from the 65 euro a head pleasure menu. (6 courses). The food was amazing! For us it is somewhere for a special occasion they also do a set lunch menu for 29.50 euros and a more expensive 90 euro dinner menu.More

We go here every summer and it’s an absolute treat - ok the lunch fixed menu has crept up in price but the food (provided you’re reasonably open-minded) is superb and it’a such a lovely setting. Service also excellent along with the lovely trappings you...expect of a starred establishment - amuse bouches, home-made bread and flavoured butter, the post mains combing of the tablecloth! It’s so easy to spend £25 a head on complete dross today so do yourself a favour and go and support this little treasure. We all need a Moulin de Tardoire in our lives 💥.More

The food was delicious and very well presented. The sommelier was rude, the wine we selected was not opened at the table, and not even poured by him. The waiters / waitress do not engage with the customers. I can tick this off my list...but don’t think I would return.More

Have to agree with the previous review. The food was very nice but the staff are incredibly rude. I felt embarrassed to be there, such was their condescending attitude. I will never go back.

19 05 23 Dinner/food was very nice the Wine-waiter/sommelier was unbelievably arrogant didn't listen, very rude and unpleasant experience! He looked down upon choices didn't offer help, did not let us finish our sentences! Serving lady dropped the food from the plate unto the tablecloth,...no excuses nothing! It was such a pleasant place last year, with lovely staff! lose the michelin star lose the pretentions and the horrible staff and go back to serving the lovely food and flavours in a much more relaxed fashion!More

We chose the menu de la pouce, a three course menu du jour at 28 euros. The fennel soup with soft egg was delicious but the main course of veal head was disgusting! It was full of gelatinous fat and to my and my sisters...minds inedible. The desert of sorbet (a lazy offering we thought for a Michelin star restaurant) was tasty but the main course had totally spoiled the meal. I told the waitress I had not enjoyed the main. It was clearly evident as I hadn’t eaten any of it. No attempt was made to find out why or to offer any apology or discount for the meal. With no choose on any of the courses it must be inevitable that some people will not enjoy what is on offer. We had been excited to try this restaurant but we won’t be coming back. It was as my sister put it, an expensive mistakeMore

This was a set menu for New Year's Eve which we were sent in advance by email to look at. What a fabulous meal and we also had the choice to change anything we may not like. The service was excellent and in particular, Patrick,...the wine waiter was very helpful with wine suggestions and general information about the wine, the food and the celebtration of Saint Sylvester (New Year's Eve). The food was outstanding, the attention to detail superb and all four of us were absolutely delighted with everything. Even their home made bread!! We can not possibly do the chef justice in this review as the food is truly exceptional. A gastronomic feast and a pleasure to eat!More
