Family get together forSunday lunch with most of us preordering roasts. At £14 ….£16 for roast beef, I was expecting a very good meal. Boy was I disappointed. One piece of carrot, one piece of parsnip, cold but burnt Yorkshire pudding? Gravy so thin I...think cook must have followed Barbara Royles recipe! I say cook because no chef worth their salt would have served this! Desserts £7.50! I ordered my favourite Bakewell tart and custard. Edges of very small portion of tart were burnt, had little jam and absolutely no almond flavour. Everyone at our gathering was really disappointed. For these prices I would expect much more, including a fish of extra veg! They could learn a lesson from The Chequers at Hainford. 2 course Sunday roast for £17.50 and lots of veg!More

This was a last minute booking for for a party of seven as original choice had closed their kitchen for the day. What a happy chance led us here. We were a rather loud group of 70 somethings and a rather loud dog. The staff...were welcoming and totally brilliant and unfazed by us as were the rather bemused locals.. Good food, good ale and a roaring log fire and we happily stayed for over four hours without being hassled. Really thoroughly recommended!More

Had a fantastic steak lunch it was amazing. Our fur babies were made totally welcome. Just wish chips were crispier but that is a personal preference. Will definitely be returning.

Fish and chips okay, but nothing special. Beer expensive and not a big choice, but probably due to Covid. Staff all very nice, but everything just average. Sorry, but won't be revisiting.

Had a lovely meal on the garden restaurant during a boating holiday. Lovely food and extremely pleasant staff.

Ate here early evening with family, including dog, whilst moored nearby. The outdoor area is large with some cover. Food was generally good and service friendly. There was entertainment on the night of our visit but it was not to our taste, so we left...when it started. Overall a positive experience.More

4 of us revisited and had excellent service and food. Good selection of meals at reasonable prices Hope to be returning in a few months
