The lunch menu doesn't look extensive but don't let that fool you the choice is great the food, staff, ambience is also great, nothing to much trouble

Lovely venue, amazing food,personal welcome from the Chef Fergus Murphy.Beautiful views outside over looking the river.Each course had the extra touches to create wonderful food.Service was excellent,staff very attentive..A lovely evening,great ambience and very reasonable pricing.

Stopped off on the way from sligo and have to say the food was excellent, was early evening so wasn't too busy, some interesting choices on the menu including swordfish and boar, will definitely return

Fabulous food fabulous Menu. Excellent Staff relaxing ambiance great location. Friendly staff. Extremely clean particularly the toilets. I cannot recommend it highly enough

It's essentially a pub and restaurant. There is an enclosed playground outside the front door though so I suppose they could have a play while the adults finished their meal. It's along a busy road though!

Murphs Bistro is an award winning family-run business established in 2006 by Susan and Fergus Murphy and has taken up residence in the famous 1809 built Derragarra Inn on Main Street, Butlers Bridge. Ideal for families, the Derragarra hosts an outdoor play area for children. Boasting a vast river terrace it is also the ideal spot for al fresco dining. This one hundred seater restaurant & bar is conveniently located just a five minute drive north of Cavan town. Chef & Proprietor Fergus Murphy has worked in some of the best kitchens in the world, including 2 Star Michelin Restaurant Le Gavroche under Albert Roux. He has also worked with Chef Michel from Celebrity Masterchef.
