The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is efficient and friendly. The menu has all the basics, chicken, lamb, beef, fish, duck, but with flair and something special added. The food tastes... I had the duck with red cabbage, raspberry sauce which was served with asparagus, roast potatoes, and a side of mash/veg. My wife had the confit of wild boar shoulder with a cider jus, served with root veg. Both dishes were less than 20 euro off the specials menu. For desert we had the profiteroles and the tropical cheesecake, followed... More

Wet and windy Saturday we called in for lunch. Front bar was cosy and snug - very inviting. But back restaurant was cold and uninviting, a bit like the greeting we got from one of the staff who seated us. Décor is quirky olde worlde and very charming. The staff member who took our order and served our table was... More

I took two friends for lunch to this lovely restaurant after a walk around the local chapel grounds. There was two lovely fires a blaze to meet us when we came in to warm us up. The menu is great and very reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Pat was our host and he was very pleasant and... More

I have been here numerous times. Great little place with good food and a nice little bar with a great open fire. It can also cater for parties with quite a good bit of seating out the back.
