Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a popular venue so much so that queues can form at the busy times. Just about the best recommendation an eatery can have. We are breakfast regulars and enjoy the quality of the food and coffee as well as the attentive service. Reviewers...comment on the welcome as soon as you walk through the door and they are right to remark on this as something that is appreciated and happens elsewhere less than one would like. Congrats to all the staff and the management for achieving the rare goal of consistency of delivery. Whitegates is worthy of brand status thanks to the way in which the whole team communicates the core mission to ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction. It does make a difference.More

My Mother & I enjoyed our visit today. On entering the centre we were immediately welcomed by the lady at the till. I thought the layout of the garden centre was well done with the plants and merchandise displayed very well. There was an excellent...selection of plants to buy outside, & the assistant we asked was very helpful & knowledgeable. We finished our visit with a pot of tea and scones in the restaurant which were lovely. We will definitely be back again, you can really tell this is a family-run business by the personal & welcoming touch.More

Lovely staff in the cafe that served you promptly. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Everything homemade I think well our mushroom soup definitely was. It was divine. The cafe is very busy which tells you all you need to know. The garden centre is...excellent too with such a huge variety of plants to buy at very competitive prices. Plus lots of garden pots and planters and equipment. Will definitely be back and I've recommended you all to family and friendsMore
