On Sundag 14 May, we visited this place, asked for a table outdoor, plenty of free tables but we were refused ! We did not speak the Italian language. We will never visit this place again. Please share. Thanks.

Kind Sir, we are sincerely surprised by your review; in Italy, as like elsewhere, our job is to welcome ALL customers as long as we have free tables. At the moment when you arrived almost all tables where already full and the few that SEEMED free, where RESERVED, because like you said was on Sunday lunch. In our restaurant 60%... More

When visiting Barolo it is necessary to visit this typical Italien style restaurant. Excellent food for 10 peoples without any comments, homely atmosphere and friendly service. When visiting restaurants in a great wine areas like Barolo, it is necessary to evaluate the restaurant, depending on the quality of choice of typical wines. And this requirement fully satisfies this restaurant not... More

We visited for lunch in April and sat outside on the terrace. The food is very good, slightly more refined than you may find at osteria out in the countryside and the prices reflect this, as well as the fact that the osteria is located in Barolo. The service was friendly and the wine list was excellent (especially the selection... More

We visited twice during our stay in the Barolo region and could not have been happier. It's near one of the main parking areas and just down from the Commune with outdoor seating if the weather permits and an unpretentious but pleasant dining room. At many places we have found the primi course is head and shoulders above the secondi.... More

There is nothing more to add about La Cantinella. Please dine here!!! This place is so good. I have been all around the world and have a good reference point. This family is amazing and the food and service are both superb. The only explanation for any negative review is that the reviewer is either rude, has poor taste or... More

We were looking for another restaurant with a similar name that was highly rated but we were fortunate enough to eat here. Tagliorini con funghi, a very good veal osso buco, washed down with Barolo wine. A meal fit for a king. The owner and staff very friendly and accommodating.

Went to La Cantinella for dinner, with the idea to try the truffle dishes. Ordered eggs with truffles and received two fried eggs. The truffles were brought on a small plate - two big ones and a very small one in the hand, which ended up sliced on top of the eggs. Amazingly there was no perfume or taste of... More

Great wine selection, well made and seasoned pastas, tender veal, and friendly staff. Conveniently they have 1/2 bottles of some wines; I wanted a local red, my wife a local white. Simply put, we just really enjoyed our time at this restaurant and I think you will too.

I had high hopes for this Osteria. It was on the pricey side, but to be expected for Barolo. If the food matched the price, the price would have been more acceptable. The dish I truly anticipated was the special, fresh pasta with black truffles(tartufo)€35. I think that is high for pasta, but thought the truffle experience would be worth... More

The smell coming from the kitchen before opening was enough to lure my wife, sister and I back for lunch. We all had a different pasta dish and a half bottle of barolo wine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The osteria was cosy with a nice atmosphere for lunch. Everybody there were happy and the prices were reasonable.
