Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always a lineup at this Okonomiyaki restaurant, but the line moves quickly, and food is ordered while you wait. Excellent food, especially seafood, and promptly delivered when seated. Full English menu. Note that the location was undergoing renovation through mid-June (as I recall); probably best...to check regarding whether they’ve re-opened.More

Restaurant is located in B1 of the Tokia building. Small premises but very attentive staff who also speak English. The specialty is okonomiyaki and they make it in front of you. If you sit at the bar otherwise it is prepared in the kitchen and...brought to the hot plate at your table. Highly recommended for the experience and quality of the food .More

We had to wait for 45 minutes in a line to get a table but it was worth it. This was the best okonomiyaki we had in Japan. The seafood was amazing.

Went here on a friend’s recommendation and were really pleased we did. We had not tried okinomiyaki and seeing ours being made was fab. My husband had the beef shin one - topped with egg and lots of lush green spring onion - and I...had pork and garlic. The price was really reasonable and the service was good.More

Arguably the best okonomiyaki I've ever eaten, my girlfriend loved the yakisoba as well. Staff was extremely kind, and the menù was clear and very readable (and sported english descriptions should you need it). Prices were absolutely fair, this is a place you ought to...visit! Should you find some queue, fear not, it will move along pretty quickly!More

This was just amazing. I was hunting out great okonomiaki and I wasn't to be disappointed. Fantastic quality and soooo cheap - about $A15 for a great meal. Made in front of me at the bar it was dinner and theatre. Not much English spoken...here but you can get by pointing and smiling. I was by myself and they made me very welcome. Okonomiaki is served on the hot plate (tepan) in front of you and you gradually take pieces off - a great way yo keep it hot. Drinks very reasonably priced. It's deep in the bowels of Tokyo station - below ground level - but worth the huntMore

Had the chance to sit right in front of the chefs (would recommend this if you can). It was great to see all the okonomiyaki being prepared. We ordered the pork and garlic and the beef tendon. Could decide which one we liked the best....After a long day we got there around 515, which was lucky as there was a long line up when we left just after 6.More

I popped in here for a solo dinner, and sat at the bar facing the kitchen, ordered "today's okomiyaki" (pork and octopus on my day) and it was as good as some of the best okonomiyaki I have had in Osaka and Kyoto. Pleasant, fast,...service, and super-tasty.More

All menu is so good, Sukiyaki is my recommended menu. Yakisoba and Okonomiyaki for 2-3 persons, if you seat in front the kitchen it's better experience.

We came here around 8:30-9:00pm on a Monday night. A waiter took our order while we waited in line, fortunate for us our wait was short. We were lucky to be seated at the bar so we could watch them prepare the food. We settled...for just okonomiyaki but there is also a choice of yakisoba! We had one okonomiyaki each to ourselves and that was more than enough to fill our stomachs. The food was absolutley delicious and the service was the best in Japan so far. Very friendly when we entered and left.More

Okonomiyaki is a street food really that I always equate to festival food on the street and brings a smile to my face because it's filling, tasty and just so comforting. The sauce, the noodles, cabbage and the variety of meats you can put into...this thing is never ending. It's like yakisoba, pancakes and stir fry all at once. You can't beat it and you basically can customize it to however you like, which what okonomiyaki means anyhow. At Kiji, it's not cooked in front of you but is kept warm after the chefs prepare it in the back and you sort of finish it off at your table grill. It's a very popular spot and there was a pretty big line of folks waiting to eat the goodness. I traveled with some friends who got hooked on this while we were in Hiroshima last year and we made it a point to find Okonomiyaki on this trip as well.More

For our firstcauc evening meal after landing in Tokyo I wanted something fun, filling and convenient to the hotel. This little restaurant on the first basement level of the Tokia Bldg. fit the bill nicely. We got there at 6 PM on a Weds. evening...and the restaurant was full with about half a dozen ahead of us in line. However, turnover was fast and we probably didn't outside more than 15-20 min. We were provided with an English menu, and they took our order shortly before ushering us inside to a table. We were the only Caucasians among the 35 or so seated guests (I did see another couple as we left), and there were few other obvious tourists in the house. We tried the beef tendon appetizer, gomoku yakisoba (mixed meats with fried soba noodles), and the mixed (seafood) okonomayaki. The food was served on the flattop grill built into our table, and we shared from the communal platter -- great fun for a group. It was a big meal for the two of us and I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight!More

Thanks TripAdvisor for helping us find this gem! Tokyo has so many options to eat, it’s hard to know where to go, especially if you just want something simple, delicious, no frills, not a tourist trap and loved by the locals. Located on the basement...floor (of an office building?) this is definitely a place not to miss for all of the above. We ordered a Yakisoba and the mixed Okinomi-yaki, gets served in the tables built in hot plate so you can get involved a little. It may not have the finesse of a fine dining Sushi and sashimi place but you can’t dine like that every day and this place had the vibe, the freshness and the flavour so make sure you go.More

First Okonomiyaki experience and WOW this place is amazing!! Was the only tourist in the place too :) Had the Mixed Okonomiyaki which is mostly seafood and it was love at first bite. They put some amazing sauce on it - couldn’t tell you what...it was but they’re famous for it. Definitely am coming back again!More

I was in Japan for a week on a business trip and wanted to eat something different. The wait was about 30 minutes on a saturday. Are the rice balls that were tasty and the pancake with pork. This was tasty though the pork was...very heavy and I left most of it on the plate. Service was very good and friendly.More
