Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went on a whim for lunch with a friend. Whilst I was initially wary of the price, decided to anyway as the menu was enticing. There were quite a number of course in the set-lunch. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to food and...it was unusual that I ate everything on every dish served. I had the Wagyu Beef of which there was a choice of two different cuts and cooked teppan style. Before that were a variety of dishes which blended nicely. As usual for food of this nature, quantity looks small but very filling and packed full of flavours. It was definitely worth the price to experience such food and I am now a big fan! Looking forward to my next visit!More

Very friendly staff (I was staying at the hotel) and superb food - had a sashimi platter, which came beautifully presented, and a simple prawn tempura, very tasty indeed. Overall, a nice experience, although a little pricey, but not unexpected.

Booked the teppanyaki menu but we're given a seat by the window. Not a massive problem, it was an interesting view. There are various set menus, we had beef, yen 1,300 each to which we added tempura prawns for another yen 4,500. The service was...good but the food was no better than okay. We have eaten Japanese in London many times and it has been better. For example ROKA.More

Our only really high end meal of a two week trip, we had multiple courses and what seemed like our own private waiter. Wish we had come in the daytime to see the Imperial Palace right new door. Overall we spend about $500 US (with...a few drinks) and worth every penny.More

A must visit in Tokyo for a exotic Japanese fine dine. It had a great variety of food for both non vegetarians and vegetarians. The beef they served was amongst the best I’ve had so far. We had booked one of the private dining areas...with a set menu and a time limit was given to the staff as we had limited time. Everything was timed perfectly within the time available in true Japanese efficiency while we enjoyed the 5 course meal.More

Excellent food, wonderful service, very friendly staff. Wonderful advice for dinner. Excellent wind recommendations. The food was so good and the atmosphere so wonderful, that we enjoyed the Teppanyaki menu two nights in a row.

The food was delicious, at least what we got which was mostly sushi and sashimi. However, to note, the chefs spend time designing the presentation and feel of the plate prior to every serving and each time it was a treat!

I ate here with some friends one evening. Chef Yoshida-san prepared what is probably the best meal I have ever eaten! The sushi was beyond anything I have ever had, melt in your mouth excellent! The presentation was also excellent as was the service. I...highly recommend this restaurant!More

It was a special occasion to entertain my important clients, and this, I reserved a corner private space for a party of six. The course menu was obviously excellent in terms of the quality and they do have a wide variety of drinks including Japanese...sake. I just wanted to give them my highest rating and appreciation due primarily to their services. Reliable, going beyond expectations are always to key to any businesses.More

A little disappointing on the whole. Very slow and not particularly attentive service. The food was quiet good overall but far from being exceptional as we all had hoped. The fact that we were sitting underneath the air conditioning did certainly not add to our...well-being. Tried once, won’t try again.More

The two of us had our own private teppanyaki chef here on a Monday night - guess that’s a quiet night for them as we were the only ones dining teppanyaki. You can have the set teppanyaki menu or A la carte. We ordered a...la carte and had a great meal - the prawns were still wiggling around as they landed on the hot plate, the chicken and Waygu beef perfectly cooked. The sauces and vegetables with each course was great too. We spent 42000 yen though!! which included a couple of glasses of wine each. There was no showmanship from the teppanyaki chef - ie he just cooked as opposed to throwing things around. Don’t know if that’s just a western thing.More

Excellent private teppanyaki room experience. It is fine dinning on the 30th floor looking out over Tokyo. Chef very friendly. Extremely expensive -- just ignore the prices and eat a wonderful meal.

My wife and I have dined at Nadaman in the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo and at the Shangri-la Singapore (now sadly closed). This is the worst of the three. My wife tried the Surf & Turf set menu, which was the most expensive of the lot...(except for the kaiseki). Most of the food was very good, but what let down the whole experience was the abalone sushi. It was literally inedible - so hard that she could not bite through it; not just chewy, but actually like plastic. The server was very nice about it and brought her a substitute, which was excellent. But we had expected more of Nadaman. Verdict: try it if you want, but I can't honestly recommend it.More

We had dinner for two and it came in just shy of $300 without wine. It was worth it.
