Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Listen, This is Hard Rock Cafe. You don't go there for life altering burgers but you go there for the shop and the memorabilia. Is the food good? It's more than ok. Will the food change your life? hell no. Is it a good experience...when you like the rock atmosphere? hell yeah. I've been to over 25 of those and they have always had decent - not perfect - service, food and atmosphere. Child safe and all. They even spoke English to us in Japan. Would return.More

We were a bit tired after 2 days in Japan and were looking for a restaurant where we'd feel a bit more home. The Tokyo Hard Rock really delivered. The food was familiar and excellent, and the service was outstanding. After dinner, Shunsuke Arai, the...Operation Manager, came by our table and we wound up having an extended and enjoyable visit. We even discussed the Super Bowl, and Shunsuke knows his football. He even comped me a beer and put up with us trying out our limited Japanese. As we were leaving, a birthday party broke out with the guest of honor "playing" a Telecaster and the whole bar joining in. It was great fun and a great way to end our long day.More

This was the second time I had visited this HRC in the space of four days. Tonight's visit shows what a difference a motivated team can make to your evening. Albie greeted me and went out of his way to make my evening a great...experience. One of the best I've had at HRC's around the world. He was backed up by Ryo who was cheerful and kept his eyes on my refill drinks. Arisa my server was good too. The food which is pretty standard world wide was some of the best I've had at HRC. It was all hot and the ribs I had were nice and tender. All in all a happy customer left tonight and another shout for Albie. Well done my friend! The previous visit I have to say the food was equally as good as tonight but the staff weren't. My sever was more interested in dancing along with Lady Ga Ga on the screens than looking after me. It was a lacklustre team that night for sure.More

It's been years since I've been to the Hard Rock in Tokyo so last week when visiting for work I decided to stop in for some drinks and dinner. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and is much smaller than I remember, the Rock...Shop is just down the street. I sat at the bar and had some cold Asahi and the bartender was really nice and engaging. I also ordered the Wasabi burger and really enjoyed it. It was fairly quiet on a Thursday evening, but perhaps more lively on the weekend. Nice little Hard Rock if you are a shot glass collector like me, stop in.More

Usual western style family restaurant which makes the Hard Rock Cafe concept a little stale and newer themed stores have taken off the shine of Hard Rock. Location wise, it is tucked away off the main street and we almost missed it. The kids were...really here for the souvenir store and not so much for the food. Portions were sizeable and quality was good. I had the clam chowder and legendary burger. Chowder was average and a little too watery. Meat of the burger was good and is on par with most gourmet burger joints. Service was top notch and wait staff were attentive.More

I had the immense pleasure of having my birthday at the Hard rock Cafe in Roppongi. We went for lunch and it was such a special treat. Being from Australia, we try to visit any Hard Rock Cafe where ever we go, so of course...we HAD to visit this one. We were amazed to hear it has been running for 40 years. We started with cocktails in the classic hurricane glass of which we had to buy. Lunch was served quickly and was a very high standard...So delicious. Hubby had told the staff it was my birthday so when the lights dimmed and a special song came on I was so surprised. I recieved a yummy chocolate sundae with a candle to blow out while the staff were clapping to the music. I loved the experience. At the end of our meal, I was presented with a wonderful, personalised photo as a keepsake. After lunch it was straight into the shop to collect our souvenir glasses and to buy up the merchandise. We all walked away with hoodies, shirts, key chains and pins. Another awesome Hard Rock experience!More

I was surprised to see that this Hard Rock was not on the Main Street, but hidden near the Main Street. Recommend that you follow your GPS because it is taking you to the right location. Also, there is a decent size parking lot next...to the restaurant, which is convenient if you have/want to drive. The food and drinks were good and satisfying. I had the half rack of baby back ribs and some Long Island Iced Teas. Definitely hit the spot. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. I should have gotten the full rack. The staff was very courteous and professional. They ensured that I was satisfied with the service. Also, it was the 40th anniversary of the Hard Rock being in Japan. So there was a nice celebration. It was everything I expected out of a Hard Rock Cafe. I recommend this restaurant and hope that you too can have a enjoyable and satisfying time. May this review assist with your travel adventures and restaurant selections.More

I have been to this Hard Rock Cafe many times throughout the years, and I don't know if just the post pandemic lull that has fallen over Roppongi, or if the old saying is true "one can never go back," but after a recent visit...there I felt as though I would probably never go back. The food was fine, I had buffalo wins and my partner had a quesadilla, nothing special, but also predictably edible. The problem was I guess the ambiance? Unless my memory is totally off, I recall being able to go to Hard Rock for late night food and sort of enjoying a party vibe - now it feels more like an expensive family restaurant. We sat down only to be told it was last order for food (at like 9:15pm), and then shortly there after that it was last order for drinks. I don't know that I can articulate what I was expecting, but it was not the experience that we had. Overall, if you collect memorabilia or are one of those people that likes to try the one same thing in every city, then sure Hard Rock is for you - but otherwise you can probably skip it (or just stop by the expensive gift shop in front of Hard Rock).More

Whilst the food was ok, service rushed everything. My wife’s plate was taken the moment she finished and whilst I was still eating, and my plate taken literally seconds after I had lifted the last mouthful. I was still chewing as the plate was lifted....No attempt made to offer a dessert menu, and the bill arrived whilst I was still drinking my beer. I literally held onto my beer glass in fear they would grab that before it was completely empty. The restaurant was fairly empty, so it’s not as if they needed our table. A disappointing evening - sad since we typically make a point of visiting hard rock cafes when we visit new cities. We may think twice after this experience.More
