Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The service is great. The food alright but the beef is disappointing. Probably the most uninspiring teppanyaki I’d ever had. Firstly the cut of beef for 3 pax, came in odd and ends. The manner it was cooked was something else. The chef is not...engaging or seemed interested. Unimpressed and not worth the price.More

We are staying BVLGARI hotel Tokyo, which is truly best experience by far always. We have booked Akasaka restaurant and asked for a place with the view (was looking good in pictures but to be honest it is not really as on pictures). When we...arrived it was really bad smell of oil, seems ventilation system didn’t have maintenance for long time or is from cheap range which doesn’t really work. We have been asked to sit on the table workout the view, after talking with restaurant staff (rudest ever waiters in Tokyo) after we were explained that we asked to change the booking time they didnt have the seats. While we were asking them if there is a possibility, an extremely rude manager came (now I understand why other staff os rude too) and have asked me if I understand clearly that we are not seating on a table with the view, and started to point me out. We just took our things and left. WORST restaurant by FAR, there are so many nice places, AVOID at all cost.More

Very excellent teppanyaki at the top floor of ANA Continental hotel at Akasaka. There was a good city view from the glass window. Set menu for 2 at 33,700 JPY was a good option to entertain a business guest. We were seated around the chef...who patiently explained what he was preparing. He even told us to set our camera at small motion before he pour the oil to start the fire whileMore

Ok, ok , ok .. the best Tapaniaki I’ve had.. super juicy fatty steak.. unbelievable presentation .. very friendly staff, beautiful view in downtown Tokyo, and given the 5 course meal I’ve had not as pricey as expected.. Would set you back around 100 +...USD or if you with the Kobe beef menu would probably be 250 plus without alcohol.. unbelievable .. thanks to the chef and staff how made it into a super experience .. will do it again for sure and highly recommend it.. 6 total Tapaniaki tables of 4 seats each..More

Opening dinner of our first tour of Japan and what an opening experience. Fabulous local produce exceptionally prepared and cooked with style and flare with a stunning night scene of Tokyo Tower to complete the theatre. A set menu of 6 courses from sea to...land with the wagyu, Matsusaka and Kobe, stealing the show and all courses perfectly matched by the sommelier’s tasting flight. Not the cheapest dinner but a fabulous night of food and wine with skill full entertainment abound.More

I had a business dinner here and there were a total of 6 of us. We went for the middle priced course and food and service were good. The problem is the price. This is an extremely expensive Tenppanyaki and is two, and sometimes three,...times the costs of something similar in taste and quality. Always best to avoid hotel Tenppanyakis as you are over paying. Even with the middle priced option we chose, it was still well over a few thousand dollars adding drinks.More

Live life as it is meant to be sometimes more so than others. Savour the gastronomic experience, the sight of the skilled chefs cooking in front of you. Watch the perfection of the knives cutting and slicing food as the food cooks, sizzles and wafts...the delicious smells towards your unexpected nostrils! Don’t be shy in asking how to eat the food ! The chefs will give you ideas that you hadn’t thought of and you’ll appreciate the minute variations of taste that fills your mouth with each mouthful. If you can, or need to, practise your chopstick skills before you go but that’s not a bar to an amazing experience!More

We had a family lunch in January and selected this teppanyaki restaurant out of the mainstream. It is 12 minutes walk from Akasaka underground station, on the top floor or the Ana Intercontinental Hotel. The restaurant keeps traditional style deco in good shape, we were...treated to a steely booth the Tokyo Tower is just right in front. Ordered beef set were all cooked to request tenderness and the fried crispy rice is a bit too soft. The wine list has reasonable enough choices to choose from according to your pallet. Service was efficient and friendly. Overall an enjoyable experience even without a special price offered at the visit time..More

Traditional and very elegant teppanyaki place for special occasions. The damage to the wallet is severe (250+ $/Pax)but it's really unique. The preparation of the food is impressive, the taste unique and subtitle and the presentation very special.

We selected Akasaka for the last dinner of our honeymoon in Tokyo, and it was a really wonderful experience! The staff was very professional and kind, they were very careful with my wife who has lactose intolerance. The chef was cooking right in front of...us, skillfully dividing his attention between two couples, but always devoting 100% of his ability to deliver perfectly cooked and presented dishes. We ate fish and crustacean, with a delicious lobster as a main dish. We ate shrimps, where EVERYTHING was cooked, including tail and shell: everything was delicious! The atmosphere is elegant and classy, and you can enjoy a beautiful view of Tokyo skyline behind the teppanyaki griddle. The price is quite high, but it is proportionate to the quality of the whole dining experience.More
