A MUST

The long line should be a dead giveaway if you somehow miss the big octopus signboard (it's so obvious). Really one of the best, if not THE best takoyaki in Osaka. A MUST is not an understatement.

Yummy!

The lineup was a little long, but the takoyaki theme songs playing while you wait were cute. The takoyaki was actually too hot to eat when we first got it, so you have to let it cool a little bit if you don’t want to...burn the roof of your mouth! The takoyaki itself was softer than I thought it would be. I thought it was actually going to be gummy, but it actually melted in my mouth. I have never tried takoyaki in Japan before so not sure if it’s supposed to be like that, but nevertheless, I thought it was delicious.More

High expectations

We had been really looking forward to takoyaki our trip to Osaka. We decided on Kukuru based on reviews. I couldn't fault the restaurant itself. The srvice was quick and efficient. It just turned out that takoyaki didn't live up to the heightened anticipation we...had for trying them. They were too gooey and sweet for my taste. Decent value for a snack but left a lttle disappointed adter the hype.More

Good Takoyaki

My bf and I both had the mixed set - 4 takoyaki and 4 cheese and bacon balls; plus a beer each. Quick service, nice food and places to sit inside.

First Takoyaki Experience

The takoyaki had a big piece of octopus in the middle. It was a lot softer than I thought it would be as the batter was half cooked. The filling was generous and good service!

One of the best takoyaki!

Real Osaka style takoyaki where the inside of the takoyaki is still half cooked and gooey, just the way I like it. I had the mix of ham&cheese and takoyaki. Both of them are equally good.

Bad service, better priced takoyaki across the street

Came here to enjoy takoyaki. Rude cashier would not accept my payment because I had ten 5 yen coins along with 500 yen and 100 yen coins. Told me “no” to payment. The food was alright, but recommend to go across the street instead. Bad,...bad, service!!!!More
