My brothers and I had a fantastic meal here on New Year's Day. We chose this place because one of them wanted okonomiyaki and the other one wanted takoyaki and this place specializes in both. The restaurant itself is split between the upstairs table seating...section and the downstairs standing section with a stall outside for people ordering to-go. After being seated at our table upstairs, ordering our food was quick, easy and efficient through the multi-lingual tablet system that wirelessly sent out our choices to the kitchen. Service was a bit on the slow side, but that's understandable being a holiday and all. Everything came out delightfully delicious, but the okonomiyaki were a bit on the small side compared to the ones we had in Hiroshima, so I would recommend ordering at least one per person to satisfy your hunger. Definitely try out the yakisoba okonomiyaki if you like noodles.More

I suggest you to put a lot of Negi (Green Onion) on top of your takoyaki, it tastle a lot better! Locate in Dotonbori, the area is busier than ever with tons of tourists, so sometimes to have to que for the food.

When we visited the restaurant, which also sold non-halal food, they cook takoyaki separately with others. The chef who can speak some Indonesian words, told us that it doesn't contain pork, alcohol and mirin. The price is a bit pricy for that standard taste of...Takoyaki. If they can get halal certificate for their takoyaki, they will become a target for Moslem visitors.More

I am not too sure if this is overpriced or reasonably priced but since it is in Dotonbori, I am guessing one can't expect cheap. What I really like about this place is the amount of space. It is quite spacious and though tables might...be nearer to another table for solo/two diners, still felt that it is not as cramp as other places. I seen other bigger groups and certainly they have an area/corner to themselves. Food wise taste good, not WOW. Oysters fresh and nice. Yes, can be a bit pricey, but surely on holiday, treat yourself. Good and prompt service too.More

...for the small portion of okonomiyaki I got. Must have something to do with the area. I just wasn't impressed; I wish I could have had it in a nontourist area where local people go. You know the bonito flakes on it we're not moving...like they usually do, and the two tiny pieces of pork in it were hard. I left here thinking about going someplace else and getting something else. By the way, they have these cool tablets to make it easy to place order in English.More

Got crowed but managed to get a table pretty quickly - it serves the local cuisine - okonomiyaki and takoyaki. The okonomiyaki was excellent - very filling & went down well with local beer. Fast service and highly recommended!

I went here by myself, they seated me quickly with a fantastic view of the river and streets, the service was fantastic and they were very understanding of my vegetarian diet. Delicious food and an unbeatable view- would definitely go again!

We waited about 30 min to get a table, some of it standing, some of it sitting inside. Seated, we ate and hung out here for maybe 2 hours, had a great time! The takoyaki was great - large, super goopy and full of octopus....Served buried under spring onions and an egg as topping was great! The okonomiyaki was also great, classic, and extremely filling. Service was good, ordering was very easy and we needed very little japanese to get by. We sat in a smoking area, but found even tho someone was smoking very closely right beside us, the ventilation seemed good enough that we didn't even notice. I may have asked for a different area, but we were sat right beside a table that gave us a small view of the river, which was nice. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere.More

I absolutely loved the Takoyaki I ate in Tokyo so was looking forward to trying Takoyaki in Osaka because that’s where it originated. we were very disappointed in the food here and the service as well. We told them we liked our takoyaki Kari Kari...(Crispy) but they were soft and tasteless. The place wasn’t really clean to make things worst we waited a while for our food which was annoying because there wasn’t many customers. All in all this place was not good.More

If you want to make a reserve, you can do via Trip advisor. If the 6 seats are vacant, reservation is not needed. It depends on the time.

Hi Yeni, Unfortunately, there isn't any halal sign on the establishment, but I personally asked the staff working there and they assured that no alcohol (eg mirin) is used in the takoyaki, and they only serve seafood... More
