Had lunch here after seeing such good reviews. Given a warm welcome and found comfortable place to sit by the fire. Ordered the fish and chips - and agree this was the best fish and chips that I have eaten in years. Would heartedly recommend.

Walked today from Cotehele to Calstock in time to lunch at The Tamar Inn on a chilly day, to find a warm welcome, cosy atmosphere with log burner and excellent, good value home cooked food. Will definitely visit again and glad to recommend. Thank you!

If you are in these parts, it is worth taking a detour for a great meal. The pub is in the shadows of the Tamar viaduct and thus has great vistas. They always seem to have at least 4 interesting real ales on tap. The...More
