Dropped in without reservation, for a Sunday Roast. Very welcoming, allowed well behaved dogs. Gave us a great table, took a drink order quickly, and the food order was also taken in good time. The roast was delicious, on of the best we have had....Loads of veg, loads of meat and very good homemade Yorkies. Good veggie choice as well. The barman was a very pleasant chap, who gave us a good 15 minutes notice that our table was reserved from 1.30pm, so we didn’t feel rushed at all. Had a nice chat with te staff whilst settling the bill. Definitely worth a visit, probably best to book, we were lucky, it is a very small pub, so tables are taken quickly.More

This was our first visit to The Boot inn & it certainly won’t be our last. We booked in for a Sunday roast & were not disappointed, the food was delicious! Lovely mixture of vegetables to accompany the tender roast beef with homemade horseradish &...leak sauce & roast potatoes. Creamy ,cheesy cauliflower & broccoli cheese. Absolutely delicious!! The staff were very welcoming & friendly, the pub was warmed with a lovely open fire. We will definitely be returning & I strongly advise you to visit if you’re venturing to Calstock. 10/10More

My daughter and I both enjoyed our visit to the Boot, located in the heart of scenic Calstock. Though the night was cold, the welcome was warm and the food - as we had been told - was of a very good standard indeed and...from a wide-ranging menu. After somer decent, Westward Ho! bitter, I toddled down the hill to my AirBnB and thought I'll definitely visit there again.More

Stayed in Air BnB next door for the weekend. Had two evening meals and Sunday lunch in the pub. Amazing food - every meal was simply superb, great steak and one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever had in a pub. And all at...really good prices. Great welcome from all the staff, Harry and everyone else.More

Quite simply the best place to eat in Cornwall as far as I have found. Lovely people, Kim Shaun and sometimes Harry, who make sure of a warm welcome. The beer can be a bit hit and miss but the food is clearly cooked with...skill and love. Stick to the wine and you’ll have a Michelin standard experience, just without all the pomp and faff.More

What a fantastic place The Boot Inn is. Family run by Kim and Shaun who could not have been more lovely or welcoming. The food is utterly delicious so we ate here twice in one week. The Sunday Roast was even better than I hoped...it would be, having read the numerous excellent reviews, I literally scraped my plate (and all of the serving dishes) clean. On our second visit we were delighted that the food was again, utterly delicious and the welcome was equally as warm. A special thanks too to Kim and Shaun’s son who served us on Friday night, he was brilliant and really lovely. Thank you all so much for looking after us so well. We can’t wait to come back again soon xxxxMore

Loved this pub. Firstly they got us a drink when they were actually closed as we were in desperate need after a huge walk. Really nice of them when they didn’t have to! Our friends have moved nearby so we had some great chats about...the local area and came back for a pint that night. Last night we had the most wonderful meal, Shaun cooked to perfection 4 completely different meals including fish, duck, steak and lamb - each of which has a knack to getting perfect, which he achieved. We had scallops to start which were divine! We were also provided with his homemade Irish soda bread which was delicious. Kim and Harry kept us in drinks and banter and it was lovely that we got to compliment Shaun in person before we left, what a lovely family. Thank you guys, we will be back next year 💚🇮🇪☘️More
