We've eaten here quite a few times over the past six years and always enjoyed excellent food and service at a very reasonable cost. My favourite dish is the Avon Tyrrell pork which has always come with crispy crackling. The vegetables are varied and not...More

Visited for a Sunday lunch today. The service was friendly and prompt but the food was such a let down. It seems to me they are trying to do food above their ability. I think if they simplified the menu, they would do much better...More

Ate here twice while holidaying nearby, both times the food was amazing! I would describe it as gourmet food with a pub food price tag. Staff were great and worked hard on a very hot very busy lunchtime service, couldn't fault anything

Visited this inn for dinner on the recommendation of our B&B host. Cannot fault anything. Service and the quality of the food simply faultless. Very good vegetarion options. Shame we do not live anywhere near the Bransgore area otherwise we would definitely return.

We found this place through the AA good pub food guide. Very attractive pub with a beer garden at the back. Although busy the service was prompt and friendly. My partner loved the mussels in cream and cider sauce and liked the liver and bacon...More

What a lovely surprise to have such a choice in a very quiet backwoods pub. Nicely served and so colourful. I had minced veal balls with colourful mash and vegetables. Really tasty. The others had various fresh fish, catch of the day. I had pavlova...More

Arriving just after 18:00, we got the last table in the restaurant. Charming manager and serving staff; I can understand from what we heard where some of the adverse comments on welcome come from, but it was the attitude of the customers who arrived too...More

We stopped off here on a bank holiday weekend on the off chance of finding a table. Nice outside space and a good selection of beers and food. Classic pub grub but some nicely prepared and served specials as well. Would revisit.

Great Pub. Great food. Great events - Bonfire Night was really good. In the Summer there are beer festivals and the like. Very friendly place.

Disappointing!! Was recommended this pub by many people. Arrived early approx 18.30 and all 10+ tables in the restaurant were reserved & all but one empty. Enquired if there was a table and was told No. Found a table in the bar & ordered food...More

I'm not sure about a kids menu, but they are very child-friendly. They offered child-sized portions for our kids who had chosen off the full menu.
